day two
![]() There are no clocks in your dorm room to help you mark the passing of time, but at a certain point, in the early hours of the morning, a cheerful chime tune plays over the loudspeaker. Whether you're awake or asleep, the door to your dorm room is now unlocked. You'll have about a forty five minutes, in which you can get ready or grab some breakfast, before the door that allows you into the park unlocks. By this time, you may or may not have noticed that one of your number is missing. The chimes play again, to announce that the park is open, and the rides and music begin to come back to life as a voice plays over the loudspeaker. "Rise and shine! Let's have a lot of fun today, or at least all of you who are left!" You will have until 4 PM to explore the park and talk amongst yourselves. Somewhere in the park, you'll find the body of Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu. character statuses private conversations graveyard Voting will close at 10 PM EST on September 27. Though a special comment for discussion will go up shortly before voting, you are encouraged to discuss who to vote for throughout the day. |

[She's quiet as she gives that some thought.]
Why not shoot him in the back if he was running?
no subject
..because you run with your legs? [That is a little weird though, he'd admit.]
no subject
no subject
You have a point there. [He crosses out something and writes something else down in it's place.]
If he wasn't running then... maybe he was trying to fight back?
no subject
[SUP. Here she is. Here's the screaming girl from before. She's not crying anymore, though her eyes are all puffy. It's hard to tell if they're red from crying, or just red because she's so anime. It is a mystery.
Her arms are crossed, but it's hard to tell if she's trying to look defiant, or if she's trying to hold herself together.]
There is no blood trail leading elsewhere. He would not have fled.
no subject
So then...why was he shot at all? If he's not running or struggling...what's the point?
[Pushing at her cheek a little, she moves to crouch by Kuzuryuu's head, kind of...poking at the gore.]
And why kill him like this? Couldn't they have shot him in the head instead? Especially if he wasn't doing anything...
no subject
[Peko gives a violent start and steps forward, grabbing Mabel's arm with maybe a little more force than necessary. Don't. Don't poke that. Just don't. She lets go quickly after, looking a little ashamed, but she's not going to apologize, either, just repeating more quietly,]
Don't.
no subject
U-um...so...a-any thoughts on what I asked maybe?
no subject
She doesn't look directly at Mabel, her attention falling to Kuzuryuu's chest instead. That is intact. Which is weird as it is.]
He... would not have done nothing. I... he would have fought back. So I had thought to check for injuries, but no one seemed different.
There must be a reason two different people saw fit to attack him. I do not know why...
no subject
Maybe...they were scared of him? Being part of a mafia would make him pretty scary to try and kill I would think!
no subject
There would be more blood... The timing could not have been very long. There must have been two people.
As for being the heir to the yakuza... [she shakes her head, crossing her arms loosely again.] I would assume them to convert him, not kill him. Rely on other people's ignorance to do their dirty work for them.
no subject
But even if that makes more sense, they decided to kill him instead. So...I think my point still stands?
no subject
If two people killed him, maybe it was because they knew he'd try to fight or in the very least struggle? Maybe they thought it'd be easier..
no subject
But you and I do everything together, so I think it'd be obvious who I'd pick so I guess the age thing doesn't matter, hehe.
no subject
Even someone big and strong can't kill someone on their own if they're good at keeping alive, and I'd think a mafia heir would have that kind of training when he was growing up. [He looks over at Kuzuryuu's face.]
What kind of weapon hit him though? Maybe, like, a bat or something?
no subject
[Why wouldn't he? Kuzuryuu seemed like the kind of guy who wouldn't go down without a fight...]
I don't know. It's a little hard to tell just looking at the wound like this. Is there anything around here that could be used like a weapon? Maybe they got something from here...
no subject
If they have guns, they probably have other kinds of weapons, too. [He puts a hand to his chin]
I think even someone's fist could do something like that to his face if they hit him enough times.. but why would they even hit him so many times to collapse his face? I mean, you don't need to break someone's skull to kill them with a blunt weapon.
no subject
[Like. What the hell, Kuzuryuu? What the hell is this?]
Why hit him at all? They had a gun! I'm pretty sure shooting someone is probably easier than beating his face in.
no subject
...I don't know why they didn't just shoot him. Maybe the person with the gun was too scared to deal the final blow? Or they ran out of bullets?
no subject
[It's probably not good for a pair of twelve year olds to be thinking in "if you were going to kill someone" terms...
Rubbing her forehead a little, Mabel sits down fully at this point, stretching her legs out and thinking.]
Think, think, think.......think, think, think..............If the person with the gun was too scared, why didn't the person who hit him shoot him instead? He obviously wasn't too scared...
But maybe they did run out of bullets...but why? If they didn't have enough bullets, why shoot him in the leg in the first place?
no subject
Maybe he said something to spark up anger? So they shot him in the leg instead of the head to make him suffer before he died? I mean, Hiko did swear a lot.. I don't think it'd be weird if he called them some names or something and it ticked them off. [He sits down fully as well and props his paper on his knees.]
Maybe they did it like this on purpose, to make it confusing and hard to figure out?
no subject
[Somehow that still feels a little wrong to her. It's obvious she's not fully convinced.
...it also obviously makes her a little sad talking like that about him.]
Well they don't want anyone to figure out who they are, so that's a good possibility!
[Okay, since Dipper is making notes, she'll start just sort of lazily browsing the profiles on her bracelet. Maybe something will give her an idea or a clue.]
no subject
Well we're going to figure it out despite their attempt at hiding it! [He stands up and stretches a little before moving to the other side of the body and sitting next to Mabel, to get a better look at the facial injury.]
..you know, it kind of looks like he was hit more than one time. I was thinking he was hit by someone strong since it's bashed in like that, but wouldn't it only take maybe two times at the most if it was someone big and strong?
no subject
[Now that he mentions it...she doesn't touch the wound, wanting to respect Peko's wishes, but she does lean in to look at it a little more.]
no subject
Unless they were given a pretty useless weapon like, I don't know, a plank of wood or something. [Getting hit in the face with a plank of wood repeatedly... ouch]
