dreamland day two

40 players remaining.

There are no clocks in your dorm room to help you mark the passing of time, but at a certain point, in the early hours of the morning, a cheerful chime tune plays over the loudspeaker. Whether you're awake or asleep, the door to your dorm room is now unlocked. You'll have about a forty five minutes, in which you can get ready or grab some breakfast, before the door that allows you into the park unlocks. By this time, you may or may not have noticed that one of your number is missing.

The chimes play again, to announce that the park is open, and the rides and music begin to come back to life as a voice plays over the loudspeaker.

"Rise and shine! Let's have a lot of fun today, or at least all of you who are left!"

You will have until 4 PM to explore the park and talk amongst yourselves. Somewhere in the park, you'll find the body of Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu.

Okay, that's a good start. [doot doot writing their names down under a list of "not-gun suspects"]

Ugh, if only there were more clues! How are we supposed to catch someone using a gun if we only have the wounds to go off of?

[She's still going through the list as he asks that, humming in thought.]

Is there any way to tell when someone's used a gun? [She doesn't know if there is or isn't but.]

Oh, add Ciel to that list. I don't think he could hit Kuzuryuu's legs if he tried. No depth perception.

I don't... think so? [Adds no-depth-perception Ciel to the list]

Unless, like, they got gunpowder on themselves or something. But I think they'd be smart to wash it off if that were the case.

Hm...yeah...

[And it's not like it wouldn't be suspicious if they went around demanding to look at everyone's hands. And they were trying to avoid being suspicious.]

Kaoru maybe? Other than that, I think everyone else could probably use a gun...at least a little. Well except Missile, of course.

I think Kaoru probably could use a gun... [He was kind of a rude guy, so Dipper could see it being a possibility.]

That leaves... a whole lot of suspects on the gun front.

If you're sure! And hmmm...alright, so what else can we use to narrow this down? Is there anything else weird about this? Or maybe about the wounds?

[Just hopping to her feet to dawdle over to his leg. Gonna inspect these now!]

Other than the fact they didn't shoot him dead anyway.

[He's gonna do the same and inspect the wounds with her]

...why did they only shoot one leg? [That's a little weird]

...maybe it's because that's the side they were on? If they were on that side of their partner, they wouldn't want to shoot through their partner to hit his other leg...

[That is a little weird, yeah.]

I guess that makes sense... [It's still hella weird]

What are the chances of them being able to hit his leg on their first try, though? And why the leg? I think they could've shot his shoulder or chest or something and he'd stop long enough to get hit..

Well...maybe they didn't hit it on their first try? Just because there are two wounds doesn't mean there were only two bullets fired, right?

[He nods and looks around]

You're right, but I think there'd be bullets lying around if they missed...

Well what if they were knocked into the tracks or something? In this kind of place, there are lots of reasons they aren't around. I mean if you missed completely and shot off in the bushes or something, that wouldn't be easily found!

...we should probably start looking for extra bullets, then.

[On her feet!] You got it! [She's not even going to bother waiting for directions, practically diving into the nearest bush to search for clues.]

[And Dipper's going to jot down a few more things before heading to the tracks to look for clues.

And after a very thorough search, he comes back to the body and waits for Mabel to finish.]

[She's back pretty soon after he is, hair and sweater full of leaves and twigs and a frown on her face.]

I didn't find anything...

[He's just gonna, reach over and start pulling the leaves out of her hair.]

Yeah, I didn't either. This is a really tough murder to crack..

[There must be something else they can do to narrow down this suspect list...]

[Aw Mabel..]

Hey, we already have a really good suspect list for at least one of the murderers, I'm sure we'll be able to narrow it down for the other, too! [He offers her a smile]

[...Dipper, you're the best brother. She nods, smiling herself.] Yeah. You're right!

And hey, really, couldn't we narrow it down based on who has combat experience?

Yeah, we could! [Pullin out one last twig before whipping out his paper from his vest again.]

[Clapping her hands, she holds out the profiles for them both to look at this time.]

Let's narrow this list!

Well, if we're counting people with just combat skill that's still a pretty big list, but it's a start at least! [He sits down and motions for her to sit next to him.]

There's a surprising amount of people here who know how to fight.

[And plop down next to him she does.]

True. But remember we also want to just use our suspect list already. So...maybe that's a little less people?

From the looks of things, Legion and Belgium are going to be on the top of our list...Legion because he knows how to use guns, and Belgium because she knows how to use a number of weapons. That probably includes guns!

[He nods]

So adding Belgium to the list, we have a total of ten possibly eleven suspects for this murder. [Possibly because still not sure about Starfire..]

..should we confront them about it or do you think we should wait until the discussion to reveal anything?
