![]() There are no clocks in your dorm room to help you mark the passing of time, but at a certain point, in the early hours of the morning, a cheerful chime tune plays over the loudspeaker. Whether you're awake or asleep, the door to your dorm room is now unlocked. You'll have about a forty five minutes, in which you can get ready or grab some breakfast, before the door that allows you into the park unlocks. By this time, you may or may not have noticed that one of your number is missing. The chimes play again, to announce that the park is open, and the rides and music begin to come back to life as a voice plays over the loudspeaker. "Looks like it's time to get started after all! To all our guests, have a magical morning! Dream big and have fun, but don't forget to look for the body! We'll see you in the afternoon at the Hall of Mirrors when it's time to vote, okay?" You will have until 4 PM to explore the park and talk amongst yourselves. Somewhere in the park, you'll find the body of Malik Ishtar. character statuses private conversations graveyard Voting will close at 10 PM EST on Sept 24. Though a special comment for discussion will go up shortly before voting, you are encouraged to discuss who to vote for throughout the day. |

Pardon me, but how would that narrow it down, exactly?
[ ALSO he did speak to him but only for like two sentences, so... ]
no subject
So the first step is to look to who talked to him and try to narrow it down from there. He wasn't exactly the most pleasant guy, maybe someone had it out for him already and used that key to their advantage.
no subject
[ That makes him frown, since it's a bit hard to imagine someone doing something that cruel right away, especially since he hadn't exactly talked to Malik much. But he nods slowly. ]
Sorry... I didn't think of that at all. I guess that does make sense. I talked to him, but only briefly. It was only a few words, really.
no subject
Me too, but still. Even in a few words he could have really aggravated someone and that made him their target. Anything we can get might be of help if we're gonna figure this out.
no subject
[ He frowns, shaking his head ]
I didn't speak to him much at all, so I don't know. Would someone really kill over something that small? It seems ridiculous, honestly.

[ man they only spoke for like a minute, but Ciel didn't think he was that bad... ]
Er, what was he like, then?

[Edea coughs slightly and avoids looking at the Super High School Weirdos.]
It's natural to want to protect your friends.
...But then, it would probably be under the understanding that you wouldn't be using it to commit wanton murder, either.

[Edea stamps her foot.]
A rogue bomber on top of the VIPs - that would be the worst possible situation. I can't believe so many people would buy into this ridiculous excuse of a game!

[ He grimaces, then shrugs ]
If there was someone that really disliked him already, they would have a motive, I suppose? Though it's also difficult to imagine really killing someone after knowing them so little... Maybe it was an accident. He just tried to get away, and it, er... detonated.
no subject
As for the detonator... I don't know if they'd be playing their hidden ace this early.
no subject
...This is really happening.
[ He had hoped it was a joke, but then sighs as he shakes his head. He's the Queen's Watchdog. He can't falter because of some ridiculous game, even if it's macabre. ]
I agree with your logic, though. Striking randomly would probably be the best strategy for them, but that doesn't make it any easier for us... [ kind of the opposite ] If that were the case, it may as well be accidental for all it matters to us, it seems like.

[ Plus, it seems like that was quite a few people, wow Malik. Ciel brings a hand to his mouth thoughtfully as he seems to consider it, then shakes his head. ]
Without the detectives being able to help us by giving a name, it seems quite likely that we would execute someone innocent, just based on how many of us there are. Or even worse, we might execute someone helping us... I wonder if just not voting all together would be better. Though that doesn't seem to be ideal either.
