There are no clocks in your dorm room to help you mark the passing of time, but at a certain point, in the early hours of the morning, a cheerful chime tune plays over the loudspeaker. Whether you're awake or asleep, the door to your dorm room is now unlocked. You'll have about a forty five minutes, in which you can get ready or grab some breakfast, before the door that allows you into the park unlocks. By this time, you may or may not have noticed that one of your number is missing. The chimes play again, to announce that the park is open, and the rides and music begin to come back to life as a voice plays over the loudspeaker. "Rise and shine! Let's have a lot of fun and look for the bodies, too!" You will have until 4 PM to explore the park and talk amongst yourselves. [As promised, the electronic bulletin board near the main train station has a copy of the rulebook, as well as the following notice: ]

Good morning! As of today, there are 35 players remaining. No VIPs have been killed. There has been one opportunity for conversion. The following guest roles are still alive (though we can't guarantee their alignment):

Detective: Every night, will learn the alignment (guest or special guest) of one player. Will also be alerted whenever there's a successful conversion.

Buddy Cops: Meet at night. Every night, chooses one player to learn the alignment of. Will learn the alignment of that player. If one buddy cop is killed, the other may be able to survive one more day before dying, and cannot be saved. If one buddy cop is converted, they will still attend cop meetings, but their vote will technically not count.

Medical Team: Meet at night. Every night, choose one player to protect from being killed. If a protected player's buddy dies that night, they will survive. If one of the medical team dies, the other may be able to survive one more night before dying. Cannot protect themselves.

Conversion Busters: Meet at night. Every night, chooses a player to protect from being converted. Their protection will extend to that player's buddy as well. If one of them dies, the other may be able to survive one more night before dying, and cannot be saved.

Detonator: Meets at night. Chooses one player to receive a key that can, at any time, detonate another player's guest identification bracelet and kill them.

Dipper Pines

[Take your time getting ready in the morning, but eventually you won't have any choice but to look for a body. As you wander around the park, you're likely to see a body sitting upright inside one of the train cars.

You can look at the bracelet on the corpse - it flashes Dipper Pines's name and dorm mascot, but shows nothing else. Dipper is sitting upright in the train car; he looks as though he had been sitting in there before he died. There's a bullet wound to his head that looks as though it was shot from a distance.

Dipper Pines is no longer among us.]

Mahiru Koizumi

Cry Woof! Dog Detective Has a Bone to Pick
Three innocent guests fall victim to VIP, detonator, our own votes

Day two brings us two bodies before evening: Mr. Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu was brutally attacked by the VIP during the night, and Mr. Yuya Sakaki’s corpse was found later that afternoon near the carousel. It is likely that the latter’s death was due to the detonator at work--further speculation suggests that said detonator or the detonator’s recipient may be working together with the VIP.

Evening only bloomed into more chaos as Mr. Levi, uncontested detective from last night, was finally and doggedly challenged by Mr. Missile. When it was clear that the majority of guests favored believing Mr. Missile’s claim over Mr. Levi’s, he admitted to faking the role. I was able to speak with him yesterday in an exclusive interview, complete with explanation for his actions:

' My only objective is to help the detective and keep them alive longer. Wost case scenario, I sewed some confusion into the ranks of the VIPs. If I'm killed, then there's a chance the VIPs thought I was real, and would believe they killed the true detective. If they don't, then there's a very good chance that Legion is not a VIP after all, and the real VIPs consider me a useful distraction.

You can report this however want. Tell them all that I'm a liar, and they'll probably lynch me for it. That's fine. I don't have a buddy, so I will be the only one to die, and I would deserve it for risking my neck. Whoever actually delivered that message could easily come to you and confirm their identity in order to out me. If the original sender is the real detective, then there's more of a chance that they'll do this. If the sender was a VIP, they may let me continue my charade, allowing me to convince everyone to execute Legion — assuming he's innocent.

Regardless, I wouldn't be able to keep this lie up for long, not even past tomorrow. It's not meant to be a long term deception. '

Unfortunately, Mr. Levi was correct. After our discussion, I decided neither to confirm or deny the fact that he had been the note-writer, whose identity remains a mystery. I believe we were all prepared and even expecting to see a counterclaim made against his detective status. We were evidently prepared to vote and execute him when it happened.

Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu: He is a capable leader. There is no one who deserves to be called the Super High School Level Yakuza more than he... (- Miss Peko Pekoyama.)

Yuya Sakaki: I wanted to know him. As unfortunate as it is, we expect to see a body show up in the morning, but to have that happen in the middle of the day... (- Mr. Kurapika)

[Someone is actually up early today, walking around the park. When he finally runs into a body, he's looking over it carefully, expression a little hard to make out.]

Your attention, please. The situation has changed.

Until today, I confess that I had a theory that the best strategy was to let the VIPs win. If nobody was executed during the day, then even if they continued to kill, then as many as sixteen of us could survive that way. However, that theory was formed on the notion that the VIPs were innocents like the rest of us, being forced to kill by some unknown motivation or threat. If they were instead seven evil people intending to subvert and destroy the group, then this would mean only nine of thirty-five innocents would survive, along with seven murderers.

Last night, a child was killed. It was no unexpected consequence carried out by the bracelets we carry - he was attacked and killed with a weapon. As of this moment, I am no longer willing to put any faith in the idea that the VIPs are victims of circumstance. I shall not accept any outcome other than their complete destruction.

To that end, our first priority is the information in Aya's newsletter. Mr. Tanaka, I leave verifying the claim about Missile's findings to you. If it is true, then we act on it tonight.

If anyone has any further information to share, step forward now.

[ Really, he should know better by this point. Nothing good will come of searching for the bodies, but he can't help but be drawn to look, since even though he'd be loathe to admit it, there were kind people here, and he was worried every morning now that they would be the ones to turn up.

He runs up to the teacups ride, and at first, he's ready to keep moving on, since it seems there no one there, but... A flash of red catches his eye. ]

Ah...

[ Ciel stops in his tracks, since the look of red hair is far too familiar to him, and it doesn't immediately occur to him that this is Mahiru. He's imagining someone else at first, someone more important to him, because that shade of red was more familiar than he'd ever realized before. His steps start again, and he walks to the edge of the cup until he sees Mahiru sitting inside. He stares down in shock, since she had been actually.... very kind to him. Kinder than he'd wanted to think about until now, since he only realizes it when he sees the red of her hair mixed with red blood.

He realizes, too late again, that he should have thanked her more. ]

[ It's not Mahiru herself that causes what happens next, as a result. It's something older than that, when he'd seen his caring, doting aunt so famous for wearing red with a chainsaw plunged into her chest. He hadn't wanted to dwell on it before, but the memory comes back viciously, and Ciel's knees give way until he crumples by the teacup Mahiru is in and then vomits.

This is too much for him. It's too familiar, and at the same time, not at all. ]

Miss Mahiru and Mr. Pines... if there's a reason at all to targeting them, I really can't understand it at all.

...So it's like I thought. The meaning of that picture was... an accusation.

[She seems unsurprised.]

I deny this allegation. Regardless of the information that Missile believes to have received... I know only that I have harmed no one here. My only purpose has ever been the safety of those trapped in this nightmare.

[Edea sighs a little, but her fear had been exhausted the previous day.]

The VIPs would really go that far just to keep him quiet...? Most of who he listed last night are way older than him and it's not like anybody actually believed there was any merit to that anyway!

No, indeed. Are we meant to believe they want to prevent such broad theorizing?

Yes. The intent was unclear at first and we were very busy during voting--Mr. Missile didn't have time to accuse you while he was contesting Mr. Levi, it appears.

... I'll make a note of your denial, however. [ she doesn't look very happy about it, though. the whole situation. man. ]

He was only trying to help. It would have been impossible to narrow down.

[Royce doesn't look pleased at all - his expression is turned downwards into a disapproving frown.]

These VIPS...they are truly, very truly...without moral. To kill a child, just because of his inquiries? It's despicable. Utterly despicable...

Right and unless this is some sorta frame job to make one of those people look bad...

[ She looks uneasy upon remembering she's one of those people Dipper accused. ]

[Oz also hasn't yet learned that looking for bodies is just a Bad Idea in general, as he's out and about in the morning, trying to find them regardless - especially when "Mahiru Koizumi" is announced. It's a shock to find her, even though he more or less knows what to expect by now.

...But Ciel is clearly having a rough time of it, too. He shakes himself from the temporary stupor that he'd tripped into and quickly heads over, but keeps his distance physically-speaking. He's seen this sort of thing before; he knows that being touched can only make a situation worse in some cases, and he's not willing to take the gamble to find out.]

Ciel? Can you hear me—? [His voice, too, is loud enough to be heard but not overly-loud so as not to be a shock. He fishes around in his pocket at the same time and withdraws a handkerchief, which he holds between his hands, waiting.]
