![]() There are no clocks in your dorm room to help you mark the passing of time, but at a certain point, in the early hours of the morning, a cheerful chime tune plays over the loudspeaker. Whether you're awake or asleep, the door to your dorm room is now unlocked. You'll have about a forty five minutes, in which you can get ready or grab some breakfast, before the door that allows you into the park unlocks. By this time, you may or may not have noticed that one of your number is missing. The chimes play again, to announce that the park is open, and the rides and music begin to come back to life as a voice plays over the loudspeaker. "Rise and shine! Let's have a lot of fun and look for the bodies, too!" You will have until 4 PM to explore the park and talk amongst yourselves. Somewhere in the park, you'll find the bodies of Dipper Pines and Mahiru Koizumi. character statuses private conversations graveyard Voting will close at 10 PM EST on September 30. Though a special post for discussion will go up shortly before voting, you are encouraged to discuss who to vote for throughout the day. |
PAPER DELIVERY
Season 129, 3nd of Nagatsuki
Cry Woof! Dog Detective Has a Bone to Pick
Three innocent guests fall victim to VIP, detonator, our own votes
Day two brings us two bodies before evening: Mr. Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu was brutally attacked by the VIP during the night, and Mr. Yuya Sakaki’s corpse was found later that afternoon near the carousel. It is likely that the latter’s death was due to the detonator at work--further speculation suggests that said detonator or the detonator’s recipient may be working together with the VIP.
Evening only bloomed into more chaos as Mr. Levi, uncontested detective from last night, was finally and doggedly challenged by Mr. Missile. When it was clear that the majority of guests favored believing Mr. Missile’s claim over Mr. Levi’s, he admitted to faking the role. I was able to speak with him yesterday in an exclusive interview, complete with explanation for his actions:
Unfortunately, Mr. Levi was correct. After our discussion, I decided neither to confirm or deny the fact that he had been the note-writer, whose identity remains a mystery. I believe we were all prepared and even expecting to see a counterclaim made against his detective status. We were evidently prepared to vote and execute him when it happened.
More information on Mr. Missile’s detective findings can be found on page X.

[ there are considerably less smiling faces in today’s issue, but the few include the Pines twins’ proud investigation conclusions, Kyoya and Miko discussing voting and Mori at the carnival. there seems to be just the one prominent scandal story and photoshoot--Budding Sweet Transvestite Surprisingly Ratty. the rest of the paper is dedicated to three considerably more solemn obituaries.

[She seems unsurprised.]
I deny this allegation. Regardless of the information that Missile believes to have received... I know only that I have harmed no one here. My only purpose has ever been the safety of those trapped in this nightmare.
[Edea sighs a little, but her fear had been exhausted the previous day.]
Those who would seek my death - I will bring my blade to bear yet.

... I'll make a note of your denial, however. [ she doesn't look very happy about it, though. the whole situation. man. ]

Missile was wrong once. That could be a reasonable mistake. I do not understand why he pursues a second false allegation...

That may well be... but I have my doubts about what was truly meant to happen yesterday.
I have an idea of the truth in my mind, but I will need more time to understand. But I will not go quietly to my grave in submission. Killed by the VIPS, destroyed by the rogue bomber - those are honorable deaths.
...But not like this.

[His eyes widen at that. But...he realizes what that means, and frowns down at the newspaper.]
They were "buddies", weren't they...

she doesn't offer the names and nothing betrays her reaction to them except for the short answer and her carefully blank face. ]

[He furrows his brows.]
What do you mean, "two"? Were...was this the "buddy" system mentioned in the rulebook? Who are the victims...?
no subject
Presumably, yes, they are buddies.

[Mahiru, he didn't talk to that much, but Dipper? Dipper was a smart boy. A...boy. The VIPs had killed a child...]
I...see. What a...[Tragedy? Shame?] Where are their bodies located? Have you...seen them yet?
