dreamland day three 34 players remaining. There are no clocks in your dorm room to help you mark the passing of time, but at a certain point, in the early hours of the morning, a cheerful chime tune plays over the loudspeaker. Whether you're awake or asleep, the door to your dorm room is now unlocked. You'll have about a forty five minutes, in which you can get ready or grab some breakfast, before the door that allows you into the park unlocks. By this time, you may or may not have noticed that one of your number is missing. The chimes play again, to announce that the park is open, and the rides and music begin to come back to life as a voice plays over the loudspeaker. "Rise and shine! Let's have a lot of fun and look for the bodies, too!" You will have until 4 PM to explore the park and talk amongst yourselves. Miss Mahiru and Mr. Pines... if there's a reason at all to targeting them, I really can't understand it at all.

No, indeed. Are we meant to believe they want to prevent such broad theorizing?

... Perhaps we should take a closer look at the list of suspects Mr. Pines produced yesterday, then.

Yes, I suppose we ought to. Though you would hope the killers would not be quite so obvious...it can't hurt.

You'd hope they wouldn't be as merciless as to attack a child in principle, too.

Based on the past two nights, I could only assume they intended us to believe they had some sort of scruples. But...those willing to commit murder...

I think friends of Mr. Kuzuryuu would have had all doubt of that erased yesterday.

You misunderstand my point.

It's not that I felt they had scruples. It's that I believed that to be their strategy. Killing someone unpopular as Malik, killing someone with information on his card like Kuzuryuu...they might have suspected we'd be more inclined to sympathize with them. Though in Kuzuryuu's case, they underestimated the feelings of his classmates.

But killing someone as well liked as Miss Koizumi and a child like Dipper Pines erases that avenue for them.

Someone suggested that Miss Mahiru's picture-taking and thoughtful approach to clues could make her a threat to the VIP. She's smart. Maybe they aimed for her and took out Miss Pines in the process.
