![]() There are no clocks in your dorm room to help you mark the passing of time, but at a certain point, in the early hours of the morning, a cheerful chime tune plays over the loudspeaker. Whether you're awake or asleep, the door to your dorm room is now unlocked. You'll have about a forty five minutes, in which you can get ready or grab some breakfast, before the door that allows you into the park unlocks. By this time, you may or may not have noticed that one of your number is missing. The chimes play again, to announce that the park is open, and the rides and music begin to come back to life as a voice plays over the loudspeaker. "Rise and shine! Let's have a lot of fun and look for the bodies, too!" You will have until 4 PM to explore the park and talk amongst yourselves. Somewhere in the park, you'll find the bodies of Dipper Pines and Mahiru Koizumi. character statuses private conversations graveyard Voting will close at 10 PM EST on September 30. Though a special post for discussion will go up shortly before voting, you are encouraged to discuss who to vote for throughout the day. |
At breakfast
Until today, I confess that I had a theory that the best strategy was to let the VIPs win. If nobody was executed during the day, then even if they continued to kill, then as many as sixteen of us could survive that way. However, that theory was formed on the notion that the VIPs were innocents like the rest of us, being forced to kill by some unknown motivation or threat. If they were instead seven evil people intending to subvert and destroy the group, then this would mean only nine of thirty-five innocents would survive, along with seven murderers.
Last night, a child was killed. It was no unexpected consequence carried out by the bracelets we carry - he was attacked and killed with a weapon. As of this moment, I am no longer willing to put any faith in the idea that the VIPs are victims of circumstance. I shall not accept any outcome other than their complete destruction.
To that end, our first priority is the information in Aya's newsletter. Mr. Tanaka, I leave verifying the claim about Missile's findings to you. If it is true, then we act on it tonight.
If anyone has any further information to share, step forward now.

Do you think they're just trying to bring us down by doing that?

[Peko is... just kind of picking at her food, some rice and eggs she'd found from somewhere. But she has to eat to keep her strength up to fight back.
Whatever strength she has is showing in the way she's glaring up at their self-appointed leader.]
You want to call yourself 'leader,' and yet, you were content to allow many of us to die just to keep your hands clean.
no subject
[Though he is actually fuming.]
no subject
[That's all she has to say to that, apparently. It is in agreement, though.]
no subject
Know this, presumptive one. The will of Gundam Tanaka is not yours to command.
no subject
I don't care if you acknowledge me or not. If you refuse, then I will find someone else to do it, but please say so now.
no subject
[Oh. Kuzuryuu's ghost? Peko? Who do you mean?]
Calamity's Dark Blade himself, the only one with the courage to guide us! I will be his servant until the end of time!

I will verify what Missile wishes to say myself. I have spoken to him - I have seen the pictures. He has accused me.
I deny these accusations and suggest that you are all too willing to believe the actions of someone who has, as of yet, only caused the death of an innocent. Whether through a genuine mistake or not.
Missile is an incredible, amazing animal in many respects. But he is wrong.

[Getting all up in here.]
He should not provide the names of those who are safe. Let me instead do something to ensure the information is not lost, should...something become of him.
no subject
Do you have a plan?

The second is that Miss-L's results will not come to be public knowledge, but none shall perish from an accusation that could be disproven.
no subject
That said, I believe that most people will trust you to convey Mr. Missile's intentions clearly, regardless of your alignment.
no subject
[He looks a little pleased.]
Well, I won't rely on their assumptions.
no subject
...You're a coward. Some leader you are, willing to let so many die to just spare a few. Your change of heart isn't going to make anyone automatically trust you.

One death in two will carry with it the death of an unannounced partner. Whoever wins, open war between the Guests and the VIPs will invariably end in most of us dying. If the VIPs had been forced against their will to kill, then they could have used their conversions to save their partners, and ended this with a minimum of bloodshed.
Everything I do, I do with the hope of this ending with the greatest number of survivors. So yes, I would have preferred to make sacrifices for total certainty than gamble with people's lives.
no subject
I'd rather die knowing I tried to do the right thing than to have willingly sacrificed people who did nothing to deserve it. Maybe everyone's not as pragmatic as you. Maybe that's a fault. But I can't stand by what you're saying.
no subject
Of course, it's all moot now. Now that the enemy has shown their true colors, there is no option other than total war.
no subject
What they're doing... They're picking off people who are too loud and potentially too useful.
no subject
None of the people they've killed deserved to die. What their age is shouldn't matter.

[She'd been hoping eating breakfast with everyone would cheer her up, but she just ended up stewing over what their "leader" was saying instead.]
A child? We've always been here! A lot of us are young! If that fact really mattered to you, you should have been thinking about us from the start! Not waiting for them to kill my brother to do it!
[Sorry Miko. This is all very upsetting. She's a very confused, sad, angry little girl right now.]
no subject
...
Besides, if you want to get pissed at someone, do it at whoever in charge that had the bright idea to bring in a bunch of kids in the first place.
no subject
I was hoping that maybe some of them were just scared, and didn't know what they'd doing. I... don't think that's true anymore, either. Or even if it is... if they haven't backed out now, I don't think they will... [ "Row row fight the power" is what she said to them in the newspaper this morning... well, it doesn't look like the VIPs want to. Talk about rude. ]
But how are we going to destroy them without more people dying? We can't lose anyone else!
