dreamland day one 41 players remaining. There are no clocks in your dorm room to help you mark the passing of time, but at a certain point, in the early hours of the morning, a cheerful chime tune plays over the loudspeaker. Whether you're awake or asleep, the door to your dorm room is now unlocked. You'll have about a forty five minutes, in which you can get ready or grab some breakfast, before the door that allows you into the park unlocks. By this time, you may or may not have noticed that one of your number is missing. The chimes play again, to announce that the park is open, and the rides and music begin to come back to life as a voice plays over the loudspeaker. "Looks like it's time to get started after all! To all our guests, have a magical morning! Dream big and have fun, but don't forget to look for the body! We'll see you in the afternoon at the Hall of Mirrors when it's time to vote, okay?" You will have until 4 PM to explore the park and talk amongst yourselves. Maybe... this makes a lot of sense, right? What if the VIPs didn't do this. What if whoever they targeted was saved by the detective and this was actually done by whoever the Detonator gave a key to?

If we can get the "body" down with that oar, we'll have a better look at his bracelet. That might help!

[ She doesn't move from her spot because she doesn't plan on being the person to do that. ]

[HE DOESN'T WANT TO BE THAT PERSON EITHER but he isn't about to force that duty on someone else. SO, being careful not to go into the beep zone, he'll start to extend the oar, hoping to move Malik's body closer as respectfully as he can.]

[ She is watching in morbid fascination, real body or not, and also being super bossy. ]

Try to push it our way, so it won't fall over the fence. Make sure it lands at a safe distance where we can check it out too.

[I THINK THE BODY'S ALREADY ON THE GROUND so he'll just be scooting it across that, which is at least more respectful than knocking it off the fence...]

[WAITING CAUTIOUSLY... He'll stand by to make sure her bracelet doesn't start beeping! If it does, he'll move the body closer.]

[ She gauges it's a safe distance, but whatever someone else can touch the body to figure out if it's real or not. That's not her job. Clash tilts her head to look at the bracelet. ]

It looks like it almost cut off his circulation, but look at his veins... is that normal?

[He's also not going to touch the body, but he'll lean in for a close look.]

...I don't think so? But I don't know how these bracelets are supposed to work... [It might be part of the explosion in the end, but he shakes his head, uncertain.]

Me either... I don't think anyone does.

[ She looks at the blast wound for as long as she can before looking at the arms again. ]

If all our rooms were locked, it would have been impossible for him to get out unless he had a role. This has to be a murder, they wouldn't have us vote to execute a dead person.

I think that it is one... Mahiru pointed out that this could only be the work of the detonator if the killers tried to target someone who was protected. That's... It seems less likely, doesn't it?

[As much as he'd like to think it's an accident or someone with relatively good intentions, it does seem more likely to be VIPs looking at it like that.]

It's— too cruel. But it could have been an accident, right? If it was someone the Detonator gave a key to? [Which still doesn't explain how the body got out here or the multiple other injuries buT...]

You mean like...using the key just to see what it would do, and then accidentally doing this?

[ THAT WOULD BE HORRIBLE but also seems hella unlikely ]

[Yeah... yeah... he doesn't think it's very likely at all.]

They might have been given the key and used it to try catching a killer, but... [THAT'D BE DANGEROUS. He'd like to think no one here would be reckless enough to gamble a life on a hunch.] ...It looks like he has multiple injuries, too.

So, the question is...how many of these injuries were caused by the bracelet going off...?

Something like that might have happened. It doesn't look like it did before, anyway, and I don't think this is the result of an explosion either. ...Are you all right?

Does that mean only the Detonator's friend played along? Or do you think the medical team already managed to protect somebody?

I'm not sure... If they protected somebody, how would this happen, though?

Well, I'm still not sure the VIPs weren't responsible for what happened here. But if the detonator did do this, and nobody else died, then that means the VIPs didn't kill anybody.

Are we guessing one person is more likely to get hysterical than seven people? I don't believe that.

So then if the detonator did help kill somebody, and the VIPs did try to kill somebody, then somebody must have been protected.

[He nods in understanding at that, brow furrowing.]

Right... So - looking at it like that, it really seems a lot less likely that it's someone the detonator contacted. [It had been a last ditch hope, anyway, pinning this as an accident rather than an intentional occurrence.]
