dreamland day one

41 players remaining.

There are no clocks in your dorm room to help you mark the passing of time, but at a certain point, in the early hours of the morning, a cheerful chime tune plays over the loudspeaker. Whether you're awake or asleep, the door to your dorm room is now unlocked. You'll have about a forty five minutes, in which you can get ready or grab some breakfast, before the door that allows you into the park unlocks. By this time, you may or may not have noticed that one of your number is missing.

The chimes play again, to announce that the park is open, and the rides and music begin to come back to life as a voice plays over the loudspeaker.

"Looks like it's time to get started after all! To all our guests, have a magical morning! Dream big and have fun, but don't forget to look for the body! We'll see you in the afternoon at the Hall of Mirrors when it's time to vote, okay?"

You will have until 4 PM to explore the park and talk amongst yourselves. Somewhere in the park, you'll find the body of Malik Ishtar.

[He lapses into silence, thinking that over.]

...They really don't want to get caught. [Which, duh. But it's a pretty unhappy realization after how hard Oz had tried to rationalize the game away just a day earlier.]

No, they don't -- unless a bunch of people acted independently, and that'd be even luckier than the medical team guessing right tonight -- why'd they desecrate him so much?

[Maybe it's game rules. Mahiru doubts it's an Egyptian ritual]

[He shakes his head once, because honestly, that's baffling to him, too.]

I don't understand that at all. Malik is dead, and he died in such a horrible way...
photonement: One eye closed and speaking with a small frown (Resignation)

Maybe he was just gently strangled and all the other stuff happened... later... No, that's not much better, is it.

["JUST GENTLY STRANGLED".]

Not really. ...It would be a little better than if he had been alive during all of the rest of it, though.

I guess we have no way of finding out for sure... unless someone here can perform an autopsy.

[scrolling through her watch tbh]

[He will wait for her to finish scrolling...]

I know that a few people have medical knowledge, but I'm not sure about that.

Maybe Natalia-chan can... but...

[They've had such a damn long day at the carnival]
harepiece: (it's a trying time)

[He seems to... not be so keen on that idea.....]

Leaving the burden to Miss Natalia seems too unkind.

We'll see how she feels about it, I guess.
