![]() There are no clocks in your dorm room to help you mark the passing of time, but at a certain point, in the early hours of the morning, a cheerful chime tune plays over the loudspeaker. Whether you're awake or asleep, the door to your dorm room is now unlocked. You'll have about a forty five minutes, in which you can get ready or grab some breakfast, before the door that allows you into the park unlocks. By this time, you may or may not have noticed that one of your number is missing. The chimes play again, to announce that the park is open, and the rides and music begin to come back to life as a voice plays over the loudspeaker. "Rise and shine! Let's have a lot of fun today, or at least all of you who are left!" You will have until 4 PM to explore the park and talk amongst yourselves. Somewhere in the park, you'll find the body of Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu. character statuses private conversations graveyard Voting will close at 10 PM EST on September 27. Though a special comment for discussion will go up shortly before voting, you are encouraged to discuss who to vote for throughout the day. |
Interrogations!! And alibis. | AROUND...
I want an alibi. From all of you. Whoever killed Yuya--I will find them.
[So...who wants to be interrogated by the kid who looks like he's gone off the deep end? Because he's pretty much searching out everyone he can to press them with the same damn questions.]

[ She did this yesterday with Malik, so why not answer openly today too? It's no big deal to her. ]
I woke up, grabbed the paper, heard screaming from where the body was. I talked to Ibuki after that, went to go see Missile, and... then the explosion happened.

What did you talk to Ibuki about? Did the dog have anything new with him?

I woke up and read the paper--and I talked with Ibuki-chan and the newspaper woman, ask them if you want to. I was gonna go play ski-ball at the carnival, but before I could do that, I heard the explosion and ran over.

[Because that's kind of when she would have gotten the key, if it were here.]

I do think that question is a little...well, consider this. If this is the work of the detonator, they give...a "key", no? That can, at any time, detonate another person's bracelet...
What I'm trying to say is that whatever the nature of this key, asking what people were doing will not help you. It could be a button one could press, or something of the like...and you have to consider distance too, no? Does it work over long distances? Can someone activate it at the other end of the park? How does the selection work, the selection for the victim...? You don't know these answers, right? Therefore, how does knowing what people were doing help you at all?

The specifics didn't matter. He doesn't care how it works--he'll make the culprit crack if it's the last thing he does.]
I don't know and I don't care. Nobody's getting any closer to finding it out by just standing around!

We were collecting tickets, ne?

[they probably still have all the tickets tbh]

I want you to confirm whether or not Nui was the last one to go to bed in your dorm. Better yet, do you know who was?

Woke up and read Aya's paper. Tried to do the crossword, but it's a hard one. I was going to ride the teacups before playing some more carnival games, but then there was the explosion. So I ran over and that Yuya guy was dead. Which seems unfair, since Hiko already died today!

Tell me, Maya... Did you think he was disposable?

Not that I can blame him. Sakaki was a nice kid. Kurapika and I fought in front of him yesterday, but I appreciated what he tried to do. I just didn't think he had to get his hands dirty and tired, too.
It's hard to believe we only spoke so casually less than 24 hours ago. To be honest, I still don't feel like my feet are touching the ground now.
But I've taken my time aside to swear, and kicked an offending tree for some good measure. I still feel like shit, but even I can tell I'm in better shape than this guy. ]
You're not going to find much starting a witch hunt like that, Kurapika.

[His search hasn't been getting anywhere so far, and it's obviously just aggravating him further.]
You too. What's your alibi?!

...I understand what you're trying to do here, but do you really think you're going to accomplish anything this way? We can all give you alibis, but honestly? You're welcome to keep trying, but everyone else is right. This is little more than bullying people in grief.
[ It's his line of work to go investigating and seeking out alibis. He knows this isn't the right way to go about it in the first place. ]

[Edea is sympathetic, but her words are firm.]
Alibis are pointless if it was set off by a 'key' of some sort - what we need to do is search everybody for anything suspicious before they get far enough to get rid of it.
