dreamland day two 40 players remaining. There are no clocks in your dorm room to help you mark the passing of time, but at a certain point, in the early hours of the morning, a cheerful chime tune plays over the loudspeaker. Whether you're awake or asleep, the door to your dorm room is now unlocked. You'll have about a forty five minutes, in which you can get ready or grab some breakfast, before the door that allows you into the park unlocks. By this time, you may or may not have noticed that one of your number is missing. The chimes play again, to announce that the park is open, and the rides and music begin to come back to life as a voice plays over the loudspeaker. "Rise and shine! Let's have a lot of fun today, or at least all of you who are left!" You will have until 4 PM to explore the park and talk amongst yourselves. The park isn't that noisy either, it could be heard from there.

[He huffs and turns to dismiss him.] I'm going back to questioning the others.

[ I roll my eyes, debating whether or not to stop him. ]

I'll spell it out for you, since you're clearly still too worked up to see any reason. I could've easily lied to you and made something up, and here you are, in a rush to get to someone else. What's a search going to accomplish anyway? Someone can just throw the key away after using it. You're not making any progress no matter how much you annoy the others here.

Stop before you say something stupid, Sigma. [He harshly warns him.]

I need to get to ask many people as possible before the killer has a chance to throw their key away. Assuming they already haven't.

I'm saying the truth. The truth being you're so out of it you can't reason, and it's extremely easy to lie to you. You're the one being stupid about it.

Kh... [Kurapika just clenches his fists, leering up at Sigma.]

I'm looking for more than just that...they might crack under pressure.

[Of course as the day's gone on, his interrogations have just gotten sloppier and sloppier. He started out with an actual method, and then began to devolve into a formulaic "alibi. pockets." There was just too many people for one person the handle, and it was exacerbating his mood.]

You're the one cracking. If I were you, I'd either head for the carnival snack bar and get an ice cream sandwich, or go back to the mess hall for some water.

[ I glance behind us. ]

Before you convince everyone else here you're permanently off your rockers.

I'm not hungry. [He says with plain dismissal.]

And I'm not leaving until I'm done.

[siggey]

Done what? Making to the top of everyone's shit list?
