day two
![]() There are no clocks in your dorm room to help you mark the passing of time, but at a certain point, in the early hours of the morning, a cheerful chime tune plays over the loudspeaker. Whether you're awake or asleep, the door to your dorm room is now unlocked. You'll have about a forty five minutes, in which you can get ready or grab some breakfast, before the door that allows you into the park unlocks. By this time, you may or may not have noticed that one of your number is missing. The chimes play again, to announce that the park is open, and the rides and music begin to come back to life as a voice plays over the loudspeaker. "Rise and shine! Let's have a lot of fun today, or at least all of you who are left!" You will have until 4 PM to explore the park and talk amongst yourselves. Somewhere in the park, you'll find the body of Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu. character statuses private conversations graveyard Voting will close at 10 PM EST on September 27. Though a special comment for discussion will go up shortly before voting, you are encouraged to discuss who to vote for throughout the day. |

Unfortunately, asking questions like that...it will lead nowhere. I understand your anger, your sentiment, but...continue like this, and you will be..."back in square one", so to speak.

Or are you avoiding it because you're the one that killed him?

[He doesn't seem to be trying to insult him. He just seems to be pointing things out.]
I woke up in the morning. I talked with Aya about Levi and her newspaper. Then I...went to the place of the murder. I discussed the situation with the others. I also, ah, investigated the body. I stayed there, until I decided to eat, and I was heading back to the mess hall when I...well, I heard the explosion.
...You can even check my pockets, if you want. That is a good question you might ask. Somebody may still have the key on them, if they have not disposed of it yet...
[He's just trying to help you, Kurapika, no harm here intended.]

[Kurapika's a little too far gone to care about his fallacies, though..]
Raise your arms. I planned on checking your pockets anyway.
no subject
[He shrugs, raising his arms obediently.]
Go ahead. Check them...
[There's nothing except for a folded up newspaper, a half-filled pack of cigarettes, a lighter, and a couple of pens in them.]
no subject
[Kurapika checks him thoroughly, pulling back once he's satisfied.]
Clean. Then I've already heard all I need.

[Royce's stare is very intense. It's like a spotlight, never wavering, even though his expression is neutral as neutral can be.]
Do...do you know something we don't?
no subject
No. If that were the case, I'd already have my hands around the murderer's throat.
no subject
How well did you know this...Yuya? Were you from the same place...?
no subject
[Kurapika answers the question with ease, aside from the anger that was already present.]

["You seem to be very upset, extremely even, over someone you knew for a day", Royce wants to say, but he keeps his mouth shut. Perhaps it was not best to question the boy's feelings.]
...I hope we will find whoever did this. Before others will be...killed.
no subject
So do I. I'll make sure of it.
