dreamland day one 41 players remaining. There are no clocks in your dorm room to help you mark the passing of time, but at a certain point, in the early hours of the morning, a cheerful chime tune plays over the loudspeaker. Whether you're awake or asleep, the door to your dorm room is now unlocked. You'll have about a forty five minutes, in which you can get ready or grab some breakfast, before the door that allows you into the park unlocks. By this time, you may or may not have noticed that one of your number is missing. The chimes play again, to announce that the park is open, and the rides and music begin to come back to life as a voice plays over the loudspeaker. "Looks like it's time to get started after all! To all our guests, have a magical morning! Dream big and have fun, but don't forget to look for the body! We'll see you in the afternoon at the Hall of Mirrors when it's time to vote, okay?" You will have until 4 PM to explore the park and talk amongst yourselves. [He seems to bristle somewhat at being literally looked down on like that. But he bites his tonue, seeming to force a certain amount of calm into his voice when he next opens his mouth.]

See about looking into the thing that actually stands a higher chance of potentially being a grudge: that supposed detective's note. That whole thing seems fishy to me. I have a hard time believing the detective would reveal themselves to early, especially to someone they don't even know.

[If that letter is actually legit, Kuzuryuu wants a re-do on their detective. They clearly suck at this.]

But there's nothing aside from Legion's word to say it's fake, either.

It seems fishy to me too. How could she get a note like that when our doors were locked? Either she's got one of the roles, someone else is trying to make her and Legion look suspicious, or someone's just pulling a prank.

Maybe you should look into that. [ Her tone is somewhat taunting now; she really does think her idea is a brilliant one. ]

Especially since there are seven VIPs. It just makes more sense to look at it as a strategic move planned by a team than as a single person's grudge. If this wasn't a team game, I'd be agree that trying to find a motive would be our first move. But with the way this game is set up, it's just not as important.

Well they're a group, aren't they? If they want to win, they have to have some kind of strategy planned out to keep their identities hidden from the rest of us. So yeah, basically they have an evil killing plan, I guess.

That...I don't know. I don't trust that paper, so I don't think we should vote for Legion without actual proof. But I also don't think we should just not vote...

Because it would give the VIPs an opportunity to convert someone else, right? [Which he knows is a bad thing. On the other hand...]

If it's a strategic move, then it could just be Malik was targeted because of the things he said yesterday. I didn't speak with him, but if the comments about him cutting off hands is any indication then it could be the VIPs thought he would be the best first target. "Kill someone who already seems dangerous to everyone." After all, we do not know how much the VIPs even want to be involved in this killing game.

But you make a good point. They might have chosen Malik because they felt the medical team would not want to protect him after his comments.

Well...if the VIPs are being forced to kill, wouldn't killing to protect everyone be better than senselessly killing to begin with?

[Not that anyone should kill anyone else at all but clearly that's proven impossible at this point.]

We don't know anything about the VIPs...

Correct. In addition to their identities, we do not know how they function as a group or if they are even allowed to not kill someone here. If the ones keeping us captive want a killing game to happen, then we are nothing more than pawns in the game. A means to a sinister end.

You have to be a pretty sick fucker to want to be involved in this shit. So...unless the VIPs are all plants, which I doubt, I'm inclined to believe these VIPs are being blackmailed, like I said earlier. Which is unfortunate, but if they're willing to kill over whatever it is that's being held over their heads, then we have no choice but to take them as a serious threat.

Yes. It is not a situation anyone here enjoys, but if the VIPs are willing to kill then we must be willing to stop them. I do not believe the killings will just stop if we hope for it, especially if blackmailing is occurring.

That note definitely has to be fake. [Mabel crosses her arms, repeating what she said earlier when she first read the tabloid.] I refuse to believe it's real, especially coming from someone who calls their tabloid a newspaper and claims they'll post basically whatever they want, true or not. I know for a fact!

Well...I guess I don't know for a fact that it's fake. But she admitted that she would post anything given to her, whether it was true or not, because it's "up to the readers to decide what's true and what's fake." Meaning she isn't going to do any fact checking...and I find that really suspicious, personally! [And it kind of infuriates her because it's going to get someone innocent killed...]

I mean, that's tabloid standards at best, not a newspaper. And trust me, I know tabloids.

What dedication to journalism. [sarcasm.jpg] Anyway, it's hardly damning evidence against Legion, in my opinion. And I would hope that our detective isn't stupid enough to do something like this.

[If they are, he demands they be fired and replaced with somebody smarter. Like himself.]

Though, unfortunately neither of those things are enough to completely write it off as bullshit. We don't have any evidence either way. But I get the feeling that relying on this paper for anything other than gossip isn't going to do us much good.
