There are no clocks in your dorm room to help you mark the passing of time, but at a certain point, in the early hours of the morning, a cheerful chime tune plays over the loudspeaker. Whether you're awake or asleep, the door to your dorm room is now unlocked. You'll have about a forty five minutes, in which you can get ready or grab some breakfast, before the door that allows you into the park unlocks. By this time, you may or may not have noticed that one of your number is missing.

The chimes play again, to announce that the park is open, and the rides and music begin to come back to life as a voice plays over the loudspeaker.

"Looks like it's time to get started after all! To all our guests, have a magical morning! Dream big and have fun, but don't forget to look for the body! We'll see you in the afternoon at the Hall of Mirrors when it's time to vote, okay?"

You will have until 4 PM to explore the park and talk amongst yourselves. Somewhere in the park, you'll find the body of Malik Ishtar.

You're right, there's a chance it might not. But with as many people as there are still left, the chances of the VIPs and the conversion busters picking the same person are slim.

I don't want to kill an innocent person either, especially since there's nothing to say we won't accidentally end up killing one of our own assets. Or somebody in a pair. But eventually, it's going to get to a point where we can't really afford to not vote.

At that point, there isn't a way to assure we won't hit someone in a pair or who is an asset without the pairs or assets coming forward - and that would make them bigger targets...

Yeah, no, those people definitely need to keep quiet. Admitting to either of those things is pretty much signing your own damn death warrant.

Unfortunately, it's pretty damn obvious that people are really playing this game. If they weren't, there'd still be forty-two players right now.

It'd be one thing if no deaths had occurred last night. Now that one has, it's obvious at least one or more people are taking this seriously...ne? Usa-chan thinks that means we have to take it seriously, too!

We do. It's unfortunate, especially if the VIPs are being blackmailed, but we can't afford not to take it seriously too. Though if we can find a way to stop it without playing along with the rules...that'd be fuckin' fantastic. [But it does not sound like his hopes are high in that regard...]

If there was a way for them to manage that, they wouldn't have killed Ishtar. And unfortunately, I doubt any of us will be able to talk to them. They've got the same problems ass the assets and pairs. Coming forward likely means death. If not from us, then possibly from the people who want to be sure they play along...

No, there is, right? To outnumber us, there's only one way that doesn't require killing - but to start that, there had to be at least one death. "Each day once the killing begins, the guests as a whole will meet in the afternoon and vote on a guest to execute." If we don't execute, they have a chance to convert...

Since the ways we can end the game are by VIPs outnumbering us or killing all of them, the way to win with a minimal loss of life...would be from now on to have no one kill anyone, and to allow them to convert each night, right?

...there's no way. There's no way they'd go to all this trouble and then forget to cover their asses on a technicality like that. There's gotta be something in the way the VIPs are set up to prevent this from ending with only one death...

Well, that's why I said "I can't say, since I don't know what's being held over the VIPs". If we could talk to them about it, we could at least propose the idea, but - there's no way to know, right?

No, there isn't. ...Basically, if we propose it to the group and someone dies tomorrow, it's not something that would ever matter again. But it's a way they could win without killing again.

I'd think they'd like the sound of that-- I mean, I can't imagine anyone wanting to kill us all off, "VIP" or not.

I can't imagine anyone would want to kill someone who had done no harm to them, like today, unless they were being threatened in some way.

I don't want to think people would just agree to kill because the VIPs told them to...
