The weather is chilly but pleasant, and there aren't any lines for the rides - in fact, it seems you have this place to yourself. The entire park appears to have been abandoned some years ago, and though everything is in working order, it is overgrown with plants and seems rusted and unsafe. As for you, something has happened, though you aren't sure what. There's a throbbing pain in your head, and you can't focus, as though you're coming off heavy pain medications. However you think you should look, you look like a human now. Under the bandages wrapped around your temple, old and smelling like blood, you'll find a recently stitched up scar wound and the inability to focus on your memories. You have no knowledge of how you came to be here; you may even have forgotten certain aspects of your life, or feel confused about them. The fact of your missing memories is obvious, a dark blank spot. Under the bandages around your wrist, you'll find a brightly colored bracelet, decorated with the face of the smiling cartoon animal on your wall, embedded into your flesh. It beeps a merry tune and welcomes you to DreamLand Fun Park. Just then, a voice comes over the loudspeaker.] "Good morning to all of our new guests! The park is now open! We'll get started later, but for now, have a magical day with your new friends! Oh, and there may be a few nasty side effects to your medical condition. If you meet someone having trouble adjusting to reality, please be polite!" [In your room, you'll find a small box containing several personal items - no weapons, magical items, or technology advanced beyond the early 21st century, and nothing dangerous, but otherwise anything you would ordinarily find on your person is there. Of course, nothing with cell reception or internet connectivity can manage to pick up a signal. If you swipe your bracelet against the steel door, it unlocks. It is not so much a costume as it is a suit of armor. I'm unfortunately trapped in it, though this happened to me before I ever awoke here. As for wounds...

I can feel a head wound that was not there before I awoke here, but I have no way of checking it unless I find a way out of this armor.

[Unfortunately, the self-appointed Elephant den mother has come to think that it is completely normal to loot a store in an abandoned area, whether it's rocketpunch market or dreamland. ]

[ He would be more suspicious if she didn't seem to be in the same predicament as him, right down to the strange bracelet. ]

It looks decrepit. [ But so does everything else. ] Do you think we're meant to ride on them?

[The wakeup, amnesia and strange announcement had Yuya pretty spooked, but after pulling his goggles on over his eyes and running out of that creepy barracks, he's found his way to the train station. The cheery amusement park setting is a bit more his element, but it's in ruins, so not by much. This is still so confusing. His hand closes around the pendulum hanging from his neck, and he lifts it up to watch it swing. Swing, pendulum - more, wider! Maybe he's asking it what to do or where to go. Whatever it is, it doesn't seem like it's coming to him just yet.]

[Yuya's just discovered the animals! And now he's fretting over them slightly as the goat casually tries to eat his school uniform.]

Man, if mom was here she'd wanna take all of you home... h-hey stop!

[suddenly yelling because the goat managed to shake out some of his cards to eat those. He'll duck down to scoop them up - at least his reflexes are fast.]

I'll bring you a snack later, just spare my deck!!

[Now this is more like it! Yuya squints a bit at the caution tape, but this place is so dilapidated and there's no one around, maybe it doesn't mean anything anymore. He'll tentatively attempt to cross it, until his bracelet starts beeping furiously. Gasping, his other hand flies toward it, digging slightly at the spot where it's embedded into his flesh. Of course that doesn't accomplish anything but mild discomfort, so he reluctantly backs off and gives up.]

Aww man... why? What the heck is this thing?

You're pretty relaxed for a guy trapped in a suit of armor! [She gives the suit a once-over, but it's definitely beyond her.] Maybe we can pry you out of it.

Kind of lurking a little, because he always gets chased out of kitchens for some mysterious reason?! I do not. One moment I was elsewhere, then I imagine I blacked out through some means I cannot recall...and now I have awoken here. I wish I could be more helpful, but that is all I can possibly recall at this time.

[Though really, that seems to be the story of his life as of recent. Waking up without memories -- it's not a comforting feeling, though he's glad he can actually remember where he was before this place.]

She may have important business to get back to at home, but seeing as there are no visible exits and she's without her main weapon, she figures she might as well kick back before shit goes down. In a place like this, it's almost inevitable that shit would go down. In the mean time, she'll treat this like any other amusement park, hopping around with her parasol like an excited child. ]
