It's late in the afternoon, and the air is beginning to cool, when the chimes play again over the park loudspeaker. "All of us here at Dreamland wish you luck, guests! Let's meet up in the Hall of Mirrors!" Wherever you are, it's time to make your way over to the House of Horrors, where you'll have to brave the funhouse to find the room on the top floor. Don't delay, or your guest identification bracelet will begin beeping. The House of Mirrors is a large room, more than capable of fitting a crowd. Tall mirrors line every wall, and the door you entered through seems to vanish into a mirror as well. The mirrors give the impression that many, many more are among your number, standing in the background. In the back is a jar filled with blank raffle tickets. You'll have to take a ticket, write down a name, and place it back in the jar. [Starfire doesn't look at all happy. They don't seem to have made any progress on figuring out who to vote for, they can't vote for Miko, they can't keep Miko from dying, and if they don't vote for someone then the VIPs will have a chance to convert...

She just can't take it anymore.]

Our numbers go down if someone is killed, too, but... the VIPs do not get any more added to their number, and the detective and buddy cops have a higher chance of finding one of them, because they do not have to worry about reinvestigating people they have already investigated...

...And how would we even decide who to sacrifice? We don't have any leads today.

Voting for someone innocent who might have a partner...I don't think I can do that. We...need to solve one of the crimes, at the very least.

But killing someone innocent just so the rest of us have a chance to survive...how does that make us any different from the VIPs?

If we execute someone who volunteers, it's not like with Levi where we had good reason to think he was a VIP. It's just murder.

I agree. A volunteer would be...better than choosing otherwise, but even so...

When you think about it, this was inevitable. Whoever came up with this made it this way on purpose.

Even if conversion is a risk, I agree with that... Or at least, I really don't think that a shot in the dark is our best option. I'm not even sure that a volunteer would be...

[He glances briefly over at Starfire, who he hasn't actually spoken to directly yet, but... He's not sure he could bring himself to put her name down if things came to it.]

I'm with Oz-chan on this one. Even a volunteer...I think we have to focus on what we can do right now, instead of assuming we can't.

If there is no one that we have reason to suspect is a VIP, and we do not wish to take a chance on accidentally taking out two innocent people, then...

... It should be a very last resort. And I think the innocent would be more likely to volunteer, the VIP wouldn't want to risk it.

So what we're just gonna sit around here and talk about who to sacrifice? That shouldn't be our first thought when we should be looking for the VIPs instead!

I definitely don't have any leads, but someone's gotta. Right? There's still time for them to tell us.

[ Clash looks proud upon the agreement. She's glad to get this thing charged up! ]

Someone here has a grudge against Legion. [She straightens her shoulders, trying to sound more sure of herself.] It can't be a coincidence that there was a note falsely accusing him of being a VIP and then he got blown up right after his name was cleared.

Who here didn't seem to like him? Or - what about a handwriting test against that note?

Most people liked him, didn't they? A lot of us disagreed with executing him, even though we might have thought he was a VIP for awhile there.

I haven't heard of anyone thinking his life wasn't worthy enough, but maybe someone else has?
