dreamland day four

31 players remaining.

[As the day wears on into the afternoon, the dead aren't getting any deader. It's late in the afternoon, and the air is beginning to cool, when the chimes play again over the park loudspeaker.
"All of us here at Dreamland wish you luck, guests! Let's meet up in the Hall of Mirrors!"

Wherever you are, it's time to make your way over to the House of Horrors, where you'll have to brave the funhouse to find the room on the top floor. Don't delay, or your guest identification bracelet will begin beeping. The House of Mirrors is a large room, more than capable of fitting a crowd. Tall mirrors line every wall, and the door you entered through seems to vanish into a mirror as well. The mirrors give the impression that many, many more are among your number, standing in the background.

In the back is a jar filled with blank raffle tickets. You'll have to take a ticket, write down a name, and place it back in the jar. Hopefully you already know who you're voting for, but if not, you only have time for a brief discussion before you're out of time.

Not without calling for Takashi or I, if it were on his own.

[ Even if one of them had asked him to, Kyouya would have made sure the powerhouses were going and he wasn't going to end up dead.

He's...Kyouya. ]

But...why would anyone who's dead have gone into the park alone at night? I think that part of things, at least, is odd about all of the murders.

Maybe the VIPs drag people out of their rooms?
cakelover: (DISCUSS ✿ well actually!)

[personal profile] cakelover 2014-10-03 09:32 pm (UTC)(link)
That's possible - or maybe they just...wake up in the park?

[ WE ALL WOKE UP HERE. IT'S POSSIBLE. ]

What I want to know is why there haven't really been any signs of fighting back, aside from maybe one.

[personal profile] belgian 2014-10-03 09:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Drugs? If they were unconscious they wouldn't try to fight, right?
cakelover: (WORRY ✿ where's everyone else?)

[personal profile] cakelover 2014-10-03 09:42 pm (UTC)(link)
No, there's one murder that makes that unlikely, ne? If he were unconscious...why shoot someone in the leg?

[ That would be weird. ]
belgian: (Dumon)

[personal profile] belgian 2014-10-03 09:51 pm (UTC)(link)
What if they were only drugged for part of the time? Long enough to drag them out of their rooms but not for whatever happened after that. You might be able to collect yourself enough to fight but not necessarily. Or if you were up on a ferris wheel or near the fence, there might not be much you could do.
cakelover: (❀ what really?)

[personal profile] cakelover 2014-10-03 09:53 pm (UTC)(link)
It's possible...but, here. How about we take it one murder at a time? Dipper-chan did that once, didn't he? Explaining how the murder likely took place and who could have done it...

We should try to do that as best we can.

That's definitely the strangest part. We're shut into our rooms at night...

[She hums a little.] I can't say I wouldn't leave if my door suddenly opened. Because what other chance would I get to look around at night, right? What if there was something important to see? ...but a lot of the people who have been killed are much less reckless than I am.

So then... there must have been some reason why they went, and some reason why they didn't leave a note for anyone on their way out. Even if he couldn't get your doors open, wouldn't he at least leave a note at your door to let you know he was wandering around?
cakelover: (❁ no. lineface.)

[personal profile] cakelover 2014-10-03 09:36 pm (UTC)(link)
That's true. For that reason...I can't see Kyo-chan being so reckless as to wander around, ne? So I think we have to assume that there's a way to us out of our rooms and into the park at night.

But...I don't know if we can assume there isn't a way to run away, and I want to know why they've never tried that. Or at least why we haven't seen the signs of it.

[personal profile] uncoincidental 2014-10-03 09:42 pm (UTC)(link)
There must have been a struggle. I can't imagine any of them not struggling...

I mean, there are ways of keeping people from moving where I come from, but none of them work here. [Meaning she's tried them? Okay then.] So unless there's some other way... Maybe it's something that only the VIPs have access to?
cakelover: (GLANCE ✿ back at you.)

[personal profile] cakelover 2014-10-03 09:44 pm (UTC)(link)
However...the only thing that could be attributed to attempting to avoid death so far was Hiko-chan's extra wounds, correct? Kyo-chan didn't look like he put up a fight, nor did the two the other night, or Malik-chan...

[personal profile] uncoincidental 2014-10-03 09:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe there was something special about Fuyuhiko that made him immune to whatever kept the others from struggling..?
cakelover: (DISCUSS ✿ well actually!)

[personal profile] cakelover 2014-10-03 09:48 pm (UTC)(link)
That wouldn't help us at all...I think it's better to assume there's a logical reason that happened, rather than assuming he was just immune. At least that way, there's a possibility of finding a thread of logic in it, ne?
uncoincidental: (045)

[personal profile] uncoincidental 2014-10-03 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Then maybe a different VIP killed each time? And the one who killed Fuyuhiko wasn't able to keep him from struggling.
cakelover: (❀ chomp. oh is that so?)

[personal profile] cakelover 2014-10-03 09:54 pm (UTC)(link)
The theory last time we discussed it was that there were two killers that night, but I don't know if that's right or not.
uncoincidental: (006)

[personal profile] uncoincidental 2014-10-03 09:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Right, someone who was able to shoot and someone who was wielding something heavier. [She remembers being a suspect because she used maces back home...] But isn't that a little strange? If there were two of them at once, the fact that he was able to struggle when people apparently didn't struggle against a single killer...

He must have been a very impressive fighter. [Or maybe the two people he was fighting were pulling their punches, THAT'S HAPPENED BEFORE...]
cakelover: (DISCUSS ✿ well actually!)

[personal profile] cakelover 2014-10-03 09:59 pm (UTC)(link)
If I remember right, Dipper-chan, Mabel-chan, and Peko-chan decided that he wasn't really struggling so much as dodging - that makes a little bit of a difference. But, it's weird they didn't just shoot him if they had a gun.

[ obviously they have guns. Stares at Dipper and Mahiru. ]
uncoincidental: (003)

[personal profile] uncoincidental 2014-10-03 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe it was just one person at first, without a gun. And the shooter came across them while he was dodging...?

But if it were me, I wouldn't have shot his leg. I'd have just shot to kill. [If he's dodging, his leg is a more difficult target, anyway...]
cakelover: (❀ chomp. oh is that so?)

[personal profile] cakelover 2014-10-03 10:04 pm (UTC)(link)
So...there's a reason they shot him in the leg instead.

[ ...but what ]
uncoincidental: (031)

[personal profile] uncoincidental 2014-10-03 10:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe they weren't allowed to kill him by shooting...? If there were two people... maybe only one of them was allowed to deal the finishing blow, and it wasn't the one with the gun.
cakelover: (DISCUSS ✿ well actually!)

[personal profile] cakelover 2014-10-03 10:08 pm (UTC)(link)
But Dipper-chan and Mahiru-chan were shot, ne? The second possibility sounds like it could work, though...

I wish there was some way of confirming this. But...
