dreamland day two 40 players remaining. There are no clocks in your dorm room to help you mark the passing of time, but at a certain point, in the early hours of the morning, a cheerful chime tune plays over the loudspeaker. Whether you're awake or asleep, the door to your dorm room is now unlocked. You'll have about a forty five minutes, in which you can get ready or grab some breakfast, before the door that allows you into the park unlocks. By this time, you may or may not have noticed that one of your number is missing. The chimes play again, to announce that the park is open, and the rides and music begin to come back to life as a voice plays over the loudspeaker. "Rise and shine! Let's have a lot of fun today, or at least all of you who are left!" You will have until 4 PM to explore the park and talk amongst yourselves. Legion - you know that it's very likely you will be executed tonight, yes? Do you continue to deny Levi's claims, even so?

Yes. We are not a VIP.

[ There's a longer pause, and however slight, it sounds like there's a very small tone of sadness in Legion's mechanical voice. ]

What will you do when this is verified?

...I've entertained the possibility that the 'VIPs' may not remember their actions at night. It would be just the cruel sort of thing they might do.

[Legion might be legitimately surprised if he's executed and marked as VIP after death.]

But if you die tonight and you are marked as innocent - then I am willing to believe that everything about this game as it is presented is a lie. The detective receives false information, and the VIPs - if they exist - would have no more to do with the deaths than we do. It would not be a game. It would be a slow execution of 42 people by outside forces.

[ Legion seems to listen, and again, its response comes with a pause, but the way the plates on its head move is slower, as if it's thoughtful. ]

If... [ Legion hesitates, the first time it's done so here ] If it is the first, then it was wise. We are better to have been destroyed. We would have advised as much. We could not return to the Geth with data with this amount of corruption.

But we do not believe this is the case. So instead, we wish organics peace. A slow execution is illogical. We suspect paranoia. We do not wish organics to be overtaken.

[It is selfish, she knows - extraordinarily so - to want to feel better about this when she has resolved to cast a vote. 'It's the only way', she can tell herself, but... there was much more than just logic.]

[She wonders if her feelings will change when Legion is marked for execution and the words 'VIP' flash on his bracelet. It is easier to hate and condemn in the abstract...]
