![]() There are no clocks in your dorm room to help you mark the passing of time, but at a certain point, in the early hours of the morning, a cheerful chime tune plays over the loudspeaker. Whether you're awake or asleep, the door to your dorm room is now unlocked. You'll have about a forty five minutes, in which you can get ready or grab some breakfast, before the door that allows you into the park unlocks. By this time, you may or may not have noticed that one of your number is missing. The chimes play again, to announce that the park is open, and the rides and music begin to come back to life as a voice plays over the loudspeaker. "Rise and shine! Let's have a lot of fun today, or at least all of you who are left!" You will have until 4 PM to explore the park and talk amongst yourselves. Somewhere in the park, you'll find the body of Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu. character statuses private conversations graveyard Voting will close at 10 PM EST on September 27. Though a special comment for discussion will go up shortly before voting, you are encouraged to discuss who to vote for throughout the day. |

But we've still gotta find all the VIPs to win this right? Looking for people who are using this to their advantage isn't gonna help us at all, even if...
[ She trails off and frowns, looking upset. ]

What this means...what this means is that we can be at danger, any time, any place. As long as the detonator is not found...we cannot relax and just simply wait for whatever happens during the night.
...The detonator is playing a very dangerous game, very dangerous...we cannot assume they are on the side of the ones who are innocent...they are just as bad as the VIPs, in my opinion. What with a spectacle like this...

Unless Levi can tell us who the Detonator is then we're just mice caught in a trap until we find all the VIPs.

[ Hearing that, that gets Ciel to think of something, though he says it rather reluctantly. ]
We've been assuming the Detonator was on our side, haven't we? What if that's not the case at all? Maybe they're working with the VIPs too, or they're just working for themselves. We don't know how this works at all, when you think about it, just that these people exist.
[ And the reluctance is fair, honestly. He doesn't want to think it's something like that, but with this... Who knows. ]

[ He makes an uncomfortable noise, then shakes his head. ]
So there's even more people to worry about now.

[ She sounds sarcastic and even somewhat exasperated. ]
They probably just want as many deaths as they can get in this creepy place so we don't quickly figure out who the VIPs are. Some people's ideas of fun are just plain sadistic.

I think that's putting it lightly. And to add further insult, it's like we're working blind regardless. The only person we know anything about is Legion, and even then, that depends on Levi's word. Who really knows? It seems like all we can do is guess blindly.
no subject
[ She's not really sure what happens after that 'then,' but she pretends she does. ]
...maybe we'll have a better advantage.
no subject
Maybe so.
[ Though he seems a bit reluctant to say it, he adds, ] So far, that's all we have.

[ I've been quietly listening to their conversation up to that point, but something doesn't add up to me. ]
The detonator doesn't choose who to kill. They only pick one person at night and give that person the means to kill someone else. Isn't it possible that they gave it to someone they thought they could trust? They could be just as sacred and confused as everyone else, so they took a chance.
[ Even if that faith has been betrayed... I grit my teeth, my fists clenched tightly by my sides. ]
no subject
Even if it's someone the Detonator can trust, then that doesn't mean they're still on our side. It just might be that two people might either be working together independently or with the VIPs.
no subject
[ It makes me uncomfortable just thinking about it. Was it someone they trusted? Right now... If the Detonator's one of us, 'regular guests', do they feel betrayed, about what just happened? ]
Fuck... And why that kid?
[ I was against him helping us dig, yesterday. I didn't really run into him again after the votes, but teens his age should at least try to get some fun out of the rides. And now, he's... ]
no subject
There's not going to be a pattern with it unless they're giving the same person a key anyway, that's probably why they chose that kid.
no subject
...What do you mean? You think- they killed Sakaki, just out of a random pick?!
no subject
no subject
Can you say you're absolutely sure, that whoever who used the key on Yuya is VIP?
no subject
How can I be? There's a chance it might be a VIP and an equal chance that it might not be.
no subject
So 50/50?
no subject
[ She's not going to do that off the top of her head. Math is for nerds. ]
There's thirty-nine of us now and possibly eight VIPs... but everyone has a chance of getting that key, VIP or not.

[ She shrugs. ]
So if they're eliminating regular guests as much as they can, then they probably would have a greater chance of outnumbering us that way.
