dreamland day two 40 players remaining. There are no clocks in your dorm room to help you mark the passing of time, but at a certain point, in the early hours of the morning, a cheerful chime tune plays over the loudspeaker. Whether you're awake or asleep, the door to your dorm room is now unlocked. You'll have about a forty five minutes, in which you can get ready or grab some breakfast, before the door that allows you into the park unlocks. By this time, you may or may not have noticed that one of your number is missing. The chimes play again, to announce that the park is open, and the rides and music begin to come back to life as a voice plays over the loudspeaker. "Rise and shine! Let's have a lot of fun today, or at least all of you who are left!" You will have until 4 PM to explore the park and talk amongst yourselves. No - just that if your buddy dies, you'll die unless someone was protecting you, but...

[ A pause. ]

Yuya-chan...didn't act at all this morning like he thought he was going to die, did he? Or even say a thing about it.

[harepiece]

Mm. [That gets a nod from him, and his brow furrows.]

...But if that's the case, it means that someone the detonator got into contact with used their key.

[Which is pretty obvious, but... Oz doesn't want that to be the case.]

...Yes. They could only have given out two keys at this point, so...they probably know who did it, as well.

[ The question is, is the person the key was given to part of the VIPs...? ]

[harepiece]

[YEAH... yeah... the problem is how the detonator will get that information out, if they can. Hopefully they won't be giving those two people keys a second time, either way.

Oz folds his arms together, distressed.]

Hopefully... that person will talk to those people, then, so we can figure out why this happened.

[cakelover]

...Can they do that? The detonator...we don't know if they make contact with the person they give a key to, right? Not in person. They must know who they give the keys to, but...

Do the people who get those keys know who they get them from?

[ A question for the ages... ]

If not, talking to those people may be dangerous...if this was the work of a VIP.

[harepiece]

[That has him nodding along in agreement. DANGER, DANGER EVERYWHERE...]

The detonator could be in a really dangerous place, then... Even if they left us a note, we would run into the same dilemma that we did earlier.

[The Levi Dilemma... Which is a whole different slice of pie.]

[cakelover]

...Right. We have no way to verify that the note would come from the actual detonator...

We need to come up with some way to verify these things...

So far, I haven't come up with anything, ne...what about Oz-chan?

[harepiece]

[He shakes his head, looking a little despondent.]

Nothing for this. The most we can do right now is hope that the detonator will be more cautious, but... just sitting around and hoping...

We need to figure out something more proactive...

[ that also won't kill them dead...after a moment, honey will put a hand on oz's arm, though. cheer up...they aren't dead (yet) ]

[YET...

no but Oz really does seem to appreciate the gesture, and he smiles back, expression shifting to one of subtle gratitude instead.]

I'm sure we'll be able to think of something.
