day one - afternoon

dreamland day one 41 players remaining. [As the day wears on into the afternoon, the dead aren't getting any deader. It's late in the afternoon, and the air is beginning to cool, when the chimes play again over the park loudspeaker. "All of us here at Dreamland wish you luck, guests! Let's meet up in the Hall of Mirrors!" Wherever you are, it's time to make your way over to the House of Horrors, where you'll have to brave the funhouse to find the room on the top floor. Don't delay, or your guest identification bracelet will begin beeping. The House of Mirrors is a large room, more than capable of fitting a crowd. Tall mirrors line every wall, and the door you entered through seems to vanish into a mirror as well. The mirrors give the impression that many, many more are among your number, standing in the background. In the back is a jar filled with blank raffle tickets. You'll have to take a ticket, write down a name, and place it back in the jar. Personally, I find it pretty suspicious, no matter what way I look at it. But I've got a few theories about it, myself!

[He starts counting off on his hand]

One: The note was sent by VIPs, wanting to make everyone lynch Legion so they could kill two innocents in one day. There's seven of them versus thirty-five of us, of course they'd want to knock our number down as quick as possible.

Two: The note was sent by the actual detective. Which I still find hard to believe, but there's no real way to prove that it's not true.

Three: The note was sent by a normal guest or maybe even by the guy who's running this entire thing, to make everyone confused and make the game more interesting? [Which is a theory that makes him grossed out tbh]

And finally, my last theory is that it was written by Aya herself. No one's brought it up yet I think, but I think she could've done it to make her "newspaper" catch the eye of everyone else! [Using air quotes while he said the word "newspaper".]

I'd like to hear everyone's opinions on these theories though. And if you have any clues or information about anything, don't hesitate to speak up!

Yeah, I think it's definitely possible. I mean, at least for the first day to "get the ball rolling", I guess? [He's met plenty of strange and creepy people who'd do these kinds of things before..]

These are all viable theories. There are merits to each. However, there is also no data available to discredit any of them.

[ So in Legion's view, they might as well all be true... ]

I still don't think it's true, no matter what the theory is. [He rubs the back of his head awkwardly]

Yeah.. when she decides something it's hard to get her to change her mind. Not that I really mind having a robot brother or anything, it's actually kind of cool.

We also find it "cool" to be integrated into an organic family. This is a prime opportunity to learn about a topic Geth do not understand.

This guy's probably someone really messed up, and thinks it's funny when people are scared or something.

Wouldn't that be incredibly stupid of the VIPs to send it? It's only the first day, so we have almost no evidence to go off of to actually give credence to this theory. And with the available timeframes, they'd be quite lucky not to be seen when slipping the note underneath Aya's door.

I'm kind of on the same page as you, to be honest. I mean it's still possible that they did, and because there's no proof they didn't we can't just ignore it. But I agree, it'd be a bad move to do so early. [Hmmmmmmmm]

The timeframe is what gets me the most, though. There's such a small window for them to give it to her, how could anyone have sent it without getting caught?

If Aya found it when she woke up in the morning and it's not just some publicity stunt, the special roles might have been able to slip it under her door when they were meeting at night, perhaps. ...That's assuming they leave their rooms to meet, which might not be true for all of them.

We don't have any concrete evidence of which is true, though, do we? Not much we can do if we can't fully throw it out or fully trust it. Maybe we should just ignore it but save it for later when we know more?

I was thinking about that too. It looks to be hurting us more than helping us right now, so it's probably a good idea to just ignore it and move onto something else.

Yeah, I agree. There's got to be something else for us to argue about that might help us.
