dreamland day six

22 players remaining.

There are no clocks in your dorm room to help you mark the passing of time, but at a certain point, in the early hours of the morning, a cheerful chime tune plays over the loudspeaker. Whether you're awake or asleep, the door to your dorm room is now unlocked. You'll have about a forty five minutes, in which you can get ready or grab some breakfast, before the door that allows you into the park unlocks. By this time, you may or may not have noticed that one of your number is missing.

The chimes play again, to announce that the park is open, and the rides and music begin to come back to life as a voice plays over the loudspeaker.

"Good morning! Get up and get searching!"

You will have until 4 PM to explore the park and talk amongst yourselves. Somewhere in the park, you'll find the bodies of Sigma and Kurapika.

[This is pretty sad, even if she thinks the human deaths are sadder, probably because she's some kind of weirdo.]

Who would just leave the poor animals here like that?

These animals...it is cruel to make them live in such a small cage. But to abandon them...

It's unspeakable! Why? I...I must away, before my mind is destroyed by this attack!

Maybe we can get them out and give them a proper burial? [She's not sure how, but hey, there's a bunch of weapons over there, apparently...] While you're recovering from the attack, I can see if I can get some of the others to help.

A burial? Why? What purpose would that serve?

[Well, they wouldn't be sitting around in giant cages grossing people out, for one.] Burials are like memorials, so it might be nice to do it for the animals, too.

That is a human notion. These are beasts. Beasts do not care what becomes of their bodies, or whether they are remembered or thought about in death. They care for the suffering they feel. And now their suffering is at an end...

There is nothing that can be done for them. Bury their corpses if you wish, for that's all they are. Corpses.

Do you think so? I guess you are the animal expert.

Yes. Even I am not immune to the grip of death. I have raised a number of beasts to the ends of their natural lifespan.
