day zero - afternoon
![]() [Once the announcements are over, there's no further response from the voice over the intercom. The afternoon wears on, demanding nothing more of you. The park will remain open until late in the evening, when the fireworks go off, but you can always go back earlier. In fact, it might be wise to gather your fellow players and discuss what you've learned in the mess hall.] character statuses private conversations This is a mingle following the plot revelations yesterday! Characters can gather in the mess hall and discuss what they've learned and make plans. Night will go up at the same time, and this post will be backdated. |

Even then, I think... we should still be fine. As long as everyone agrees not to kill, which shouldn't be too hard.

People could be lying. You can't always take someone's word. From the sounds of it, they already have VIPs lined up.

[He wants to say that it would be impossible, but not even Oz the king of optimism is that optimistic.]
no subject
Not me, and not you. That said, we still have to find a way to work together without letting paranoia destroy us.
no subject
...Right. Right... "A happy medium", right? [He thinks he's heard the term somewhere before.] Anyway, I do agree that we should probably spread leadership out among all of us.
no subject
If we can all work together as a team, I think that would be best. After all, right now we vastly outnumber the VIPs, even if we count "buddies" as only one unit.
A natural rise to leadership might be better than a vote right now. Or maybe we can work in shifts, so to speak.
no subject
I think that both of those might work well. As long as it doesn't put any one person in too much danger...
no subject
Right, the key here is to not let any one person be more vulnerable than the others. It'll make choosing more difficult, and it might give us a chance to stop anything before it's too late.
no subject
[Preventative measures rather than post-disaster care and all.]
no subject
[There's a lot of people, it'll be faster if more people start spreading it.]

[Keeping it, on the other hand... Sheba misses being able to read minds. That sure would make things easier.] What might be more difficult for everyone would be choosing to trust in everyone else when they say, "I won't kill."
I mean it when I say that, but that doesn't mean I can make any of you trust me.

[These two are going to end up so dead so fast...]

Thanks. I hope it's the same for everyone else...

Then, let's all not kill anyone together!
no subject
Thanks. [FOR BEING OPTIMISTIC. He appreciates it, friend.] I'll look forward to working with you, then.

[But there is a part of her that can't. She's seen firsthand how someone's words, actions, and thoughts can all say different things.]
We just need to be smart about this. They can't keep us here forever, so as long as we're all careful and don't do anything that could put us in danger, what's the worst that could happen even if someone does try to kill? If we never give them the chance to do it, they won't succeed, right?
no subject
If we're careful and watch out for each other, I don't think that anyone should end up hurt. I really don't think that anyone would try to hurt someone else, either, but...
no subject
[Though, uh, she's not sure that no one's going to try hurting someone. Her gaze wanders briefly to Malik, and then she shakes her head. As long as he doesn't have reason to believe that one of the people here is responsible for him being kidnapped...] Some of the people here are a little more volatile than others, but the target of their anger is our kidnappers, not the rest of us. As long as we're careful, we should be fine.
...and there are some of those special roles that help us, not hurt us, right? If those people play along and the ones with roles that could hurt us don't, we'll be doubly safe.

[Except for the whole conversion without execution thing, but. Oz sure isn't going to be voting to execute anyone.]
You can really think calmly in these situations! [Though honestly, he's not freaking out nearly as badly as someone his age probably should be, either.]
no subject
[Granted, they're not really the same thing at all... the danger here is so very different from the danger she'd faced on Weyard.] Panicking right now isn't going to help, anyway. As long as we stay calm, we'll figure this out. Losing our heads is just going to give them exactly what they want.
no subject
They're really doing their best to create a rift already, aren't they? I think that's a pretty big sign in and of itself... [Of what to expect, he means.]
