The weather is chilly but pleasant, and there aren't any lines for the rides - in fact, it seems you have this place to yourself. The entire park appears to have been abandoned some years ago, and though everything is in working order, it is overgrown with plants and seems rusted and unsafe. As for you, something has happened, though you aren't sure what. There's a throbbing pain in your head, and you can't focus, as though you're coming off heavy pain medications. However you think you should look, you look like a human now. Under the bandages wrapped around your temple, old and smelling like blood, you'll find a recently stitched up scar wound and the inability to focus on your memories. You have no knowledge of how you came to be here; you may even have forgotten certain aspects of your life, or feel confused about them. The fact of your missing memories is obvious, a dark blank spot. Under the bandages around your wrist, you'll find a brightly colored bracelet, decorated with the face of the smiling cartoon animal on your wall, embedded into your flesh. It beeps a merry tune and welcomes you to DreamLand Fun Park. Just then, a voice comes over the loudspeaker.] "Good morning to all of our new guests! The park is now open! We'll get started later, but for now, have a magical day with your new friends! Oh, and there may be a few nasty side effects to your medical condition. If you meet someone having trouble adjusting to reality, please be polite!" [In your room, you'll find a small box containing several personal items - no weapons, magical items, or technology advanced beyond the early 21st century, and nothing dangerous, but otherwise anything you would ordinarily find on your person is there. Of course, nothing with cell reception or internet connectivity can manage to pick up a signal. If you swipe your bracelet against the steel door, it unlocks. [ He was about to yell at Oz, but no. No, Ciel is convinced. Oz is a demon too, surely, because this is a torture device only made by a shitty demon. Ciel's sentence breaks off into half a scream, and his immediate reaction is to grab the wheel with all his little strength to stop Oz from trying to spin it... ]

[Oz just thinks that Ciel is trying to HELP HIM SPIN THE WHEEL, good job Ciel, yeah!! They can spin it twice as fast now!]

Isn't it greaaaaat—?!

[Oops hopefully Ciel isn't wearing a dumb little Ciel-sized hat because it's probably going to go flying off into the ether...]

[ yep there it goes, flying away... Ciel at least lets go of the wheel to make a valiant grab for his tiny little hat, but he isn't successful. This also has the disadvantage of meaning his hands are not on the wheel to stop this ride. So instead, he just screams indignantly like a true champion. ]

This damned thing is going too fast!!!

[ i told you the temper counter would be impressive ]

[IT'S NOT GOING FAST ENOUGH. Look, at least they aren't traveling at plastered-to-the-wall speeds...]

Do you want it to go slower?! [SAYS OZ AS HE CONTINUES TO TURN THE WHEEL RAPIDLY]

Why would you make this spin in the first place?!

[ With his tiny hat gone forever, Ciel resumes his valiant effort of stopping Demon Oz by latching his hands onto the wheel with a vicelike grip, trying to keep it firmly in place. He is not a strong child. He will fail. ]

[Ciel is starting to invoke his inner bullying instincts... so he lets the wheel slow down a little, but not stop entirely...]

Because that's the point of the ride! It goes in a circle, and then these cups go in smaller circles!

That is positively the worst idea I have ever heard!

It's the work of a genius! Whoever built this is the best!

[He sounds VERY ADAMANT ABOUT THAT. But he'll pull his hand away from the wheel briefly, gesturing wildly at Ciel.]

Here— You give it a try and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. Just one spin! Go on!

[ Ciel gives Oz a disbelieving stare at first, but oh, good, at least it's stopped spinning... Except then he's being told to do the same?! He knows better than to argue it now, but he'll give the most half-assed effort possible. He turns the wheel so slightly that the cup barely moves. ]

...There. One spin. Are we done now?

[harepiece]

[wow... no!! HE WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS.]

A full spin! A real spin!

That was a real spin!

That wasn't anywhere near a real spin! You have to do a full, real spin or I'll be forced to do one for you.

["FORCED"... IT'LL BE SUCH A DIFFICULT TASK FOR HIM, CIEL.]

[ You have a truly "difficult" task ahead then, since Ciel grabs onto the wheel again to prevent Oz from turning it, but... Yeah, not a difficult task at all. ]

[harepiece]

[yeah sorry Kanye, Oz is grabbing that wheel and sending the teacup spinning.....]

Yes!!

[ Ciel screeches indignantly again, because if there is a quality that Ciel does not really possess at all, it's strength. So Oz wins this battle...

And also the war, honestly.

Because the constant spinning and screaming is starting to get to Ciel, so after a few seconds more of screeching, he brings a hand to his mouth instead. You did it, Oz... The barf counter is going to go up... ]

[harepiece]

[AW YEAH.....

Except Oz is actually not a shithead unlike pretty much all of my other characters, who would continue spinning the cup rapidly and then get pissed off if they got barfed on... Instead, he immediately pulls his hands away from the wheel as soon as it looks like Ciel's gonna lose it.]

Hey, are you okay? [HE CAN'T STOP THE RIDE-RIDE, HE CAN ONLY STOP THE TEACUP SPINS...]

[ And that is exactly what Ciel has been counting on!! You see, this has all been a clever (???) plan on Ciel's part to escape this fresh hell, because while he had been distracting Oz (?!?!), he had also managed to loosen the quite rickety safety measures for the teacup.

When Oz stops spinning the teacup, the ride keeps moving, but that's at a slow enough rate that Ciel can leap into action—!! ]

[ What happens next is something that should definitely not be done by anyone, and is inspired completely by the irresponsible actions of an overenthusiastic butler. Ciel pulls his hand away from his mouth, because clearly, he's fine, and he stands in the teacup at just the right time as the ride is completing its circuit and leaps out of it.

(He gets one show of athleticism per game, so yes, he wasted it on this.)

Ciel doesn't actually do a terribly job though, since he clears the safety barrier and moving parts and lands on the platform. He doesn't do a great landing, since he rolls and hits the ground, but he's also very clearly fine, since he stands up right away and laughs. ]

Ha! What kind of idiot would fall for that?!

[ Which he says, completely oblivious that it is in fact him that is the idiot. This is further evidenced by how he picks up his jar of candy and just bolts.

[OZ ACTUALLY PANICS FOR A SECOND because what the actual living hell Ciel that is very dangerous and one wrong step could mean being pulled into the gears pushing the ride forward??? CIEL?????

But then, despite being a poncy little nerd with a jar full of candy, he actually manages to make it to safety!! And so Oz is just kind of stuck in his slowly moving cup as the ride carries on to its end, watching incredulously as Ciel books it with his sugar stash.
