The weather is chilly but pleasant, and there aren't any lines for the rides - in fact, it seems you have this place to yourself. The entire park appears to have been abandoned some years ago, and though everything is in working order, it is overgrown with plants and seems rusted and unsafe. As for you, something has happened, though you aren't sure what. There's a throbbing pain in your head, and you can't focus, as though you're coming off heavy pain medications. However you think you should look, you look like a human now. Under the bandages wrapped around your temple, old and smelling like blood, you'll find a recently stitched up scar wound and the inability to focus on your memories. You have no knowledge of how you came to be here; you may even have forgotten certain aspects of your life, or feel confused about them. The fact of your missing memories is obvious, a dark blank spot. Under the bandages around your wrist, you'll find a brightly colored bracelet, decorated with the face of the smiling cartoon animal on your wall, embedded into your flesh. It beeps a merry tune and welcomes you to DreamLand Fun Park. Just then, a voice comes over the loudspeaker.] "Good morning to all of our new guests! The park is now open! We'll get started later, but for now, have a magical day with your new friends! Oh, and there may be a few nasty side effects to your medical condition. If you meet someone having trouble adjusting to reality, please be polite!" [In your room, you'll find a small box containing several personal items - no weapons, magical items, or technology advanced beyond the early 21st century, and nothing dangerous, but otherwise anything you would ordinarily find on your person is there. Of course, nothing with cell reception or internet connectivity can manage to pick up a signal. If you swipe your bracelet against the steel door, it unlocks. [ Francis takes the ice and continues to scowl as he puts it to his cheek. Notably, though, the scowl has lightened. ]

I've seen a lot people. [ Like he doesn't know what Charles is talking about. ] I don't think she's here. Any of them. There's a list of us. [ With an uneasy glance to Charles's wrist. ]

Okay well calm down and breathe and then let's figure out these possibilities!

Yeah. It's insane, not to mention really gross.

[ I nod solemnly to the kid, as if I'm swearing on a Bible. ]

[He holds out his left arm, which is equipped with a circular screen that shows his guest bracelet.]

I mentioned before that this suit was put on me before I awoke in the warehouse, yes? Well the game in the warehouse made everyone wear a bracelet, which could also kill us if a certain set of conditions were met. In addition, everyone was grouped as 'pairs' and 'solos' which rotated over time. Those two factors are alone similar to this game we are in now.

[She'll glance at the fence. So tantalizingly close...!]

Alright, well. Maybe we can come back at night and see if anything changes. For now, though, we might want to investigate elsewhere...

[He takes a deep breath as instructed and stands there quietly for a minute.]

Well, some of the other rides are worse!

[She thinks for a moment and then pulls out a marker from her sweater.]

I don't have any paper though. You could use my arm or something though! Otherwise we'll have to go find some.

We are in an amusement park Anise. There are rides and prize booths, among many other things to enjoy. Would you like to go on a ride perhaps?

[siggey]

I'm with you there.

[ I solemnly nod. As two of the few adults that are actually around, it's normal for us to feel more responsible. ]

Sigma. And same, we're all gonna find a way out together. Can't say I'd mind meeting our captor's face with my fist on the way, though.

So everyone had bracelets too, huh. Were they as tacky as these, though...

Pairs and solos? You mean, like this 'buddy' system?

Usually I'd have at least a piece of paper with me, but there wasn't any in the box with my journal and vest.

[ Legion at least seems to be... well. Legion. However, there is a very slight intonation in its voice to imply that it might be pleased. ]

This ride is within acceptable parameters for maximum fun. If Ibuki is enjoying herself, we will continue.

Well. Good. [ Probably. Though being separated from Camilla makes him uncomfortable, it's probably better that she isn't here. With the gesture, he finally takes some time to examine the bracelet further, browsing the profiles briefly; he doesn't find what he's looking for. ] Just us, then.

[ That isn't very comforting. Glancing up: ] Are you alright? [ He rushes to amend this. ] Everything aside.

Because they're potatoes. One potato, two potatoes three potatoes, four!

Exactly. The people who were buddies even shared 'a fate' whenever they were linked together, much like the buddies in this game do. Although this game seems much more complex than Zero's.

[jingler]

[billows]

[ Francis does seem mildly sympathetic to his search. Being without the other in a stressful situation must amplify the fear. But surely Camilla is safe, and looking for them. ]

No. I don't know what's happened to me. Or you. [ And finally, he steps closer into a more friendly space. ] Though an apology might help.

[ineptus]

Well...what are we going to do then?

[ That's a pretty knowledgeable answer; he had expected something evasive. ]

But you survived. [ That's a start. ] Did many die, the first time? [ Did you kill anyone? is the obvious question underlying what he actually asks. ]

We could go look for some paper. Though I'm not sure where in a creepy amusement park to find any.
