![]() There are no clocks in your dorm room to help you mark the passing of time, but at a certain point, in the early hours of the morning, a cheerful chime tune plays over the loudspeaker. Whether you're awake or asleep, the door to your dorm room is now unlocked. You'll have about a forty five minutes, in which you can get ready or grab some breakfast, before the door that allows you into the park unlocks. By this time, you may or may not have noticed that one of your number is missing. The chimes play again, to announce that the park is open, and the rides and music begin to come back to life as a voice plays over the loudspeaker. "Rise and shine! Let's have a lot of fun and look for the bodies, too!" You will have until 4 PM to explore the park and talk amongst yourselves. Somewhere in the park, you'll find the bodies of Dipper Pines and Mahiru Koizumi. character statuses private conversations graveyard Voting will close at 10 PM EST on September 30. Though a special post for discussion will go up shortly before voting, you are encouraged to discuss who to vote for throughout the day. |

Will you tell me about him?

[That gets her to calm down her tears a little.]

As long as we remember him, he will never truly be gone.

Well...Dipper...D-Dipper was probably the best twin and brother a girl could ask for...we did everything together! We dressed up in m-matching costumes for Halloween and...we started a scrapbook to remember our Halloween adventures in. And we would sit around in our room reading together...or we'd watch cartoons and TV together.
This summer we were staying in this little town called Gravity Falls with our Grunkle Stan and he found this journal...and it detailed all these mysterious things about this town and he believed all of it, because he always believed in stuff like that. And he was right! Our first day after finding this journal, I almost got married to a bunch of gnomes! And when I refused to marry them, they attacked us! Dipper was really smart and brave though, and he used this golf cart to get away from them...
[She's smiling sadly, picking at her sweater a little.]
He's always been really smart and really brave. We went through so many really weird and dangerous things together, but he always knew how to get out of them...and he always protected me. Whenever we had to escape something, he always made sure I was r-right...r-r-right with him...
[Nope, here come the tears again.]

It sounds like you two had quite the adventures! [ Pause. ] I knew a boy like that when I was younger. We would go on adventures too and sometimes run into trouble but he was always there to catch me if I fell.
[ Her story is altogether too long and complicated to be a complete analogy, but it's the relevant parts that count. ] He disappeared for a long time... So I learned to protect myself and be twice as brave, for the both of us.
It's not quite the same, but I know you have it in you too, Mabel. You can be twice as brave, twice as smart, and when you go home, you'll go on twice the adventures for the both of you.
