day two - afternoon

dreamland day two 39 players remaining. [As the day wears on into the afternoon, the dead aren't getting any deader. It's late in the afternoon, and the air is beginning to cool, when the chimes play again over the park loudspeaker. "All of us here at Dreamland wish you luck, guests! Let's meet up in the Hall of Mirrors!" Wherever you are, it's time to make your way over to the House of Horrors, where you'll have to brave the funhouse to find the room on the top floor. Don't delay, or your guest identification bracelet will begin beeping. The House of Mirrors is a large room, more than capable of fitting a crowd. Tall mirrors line every wall, and the door you entered through seems to vanish into a mirror as well. The mirrors give the impression that many, many more are among your number, standing in the background. In the back is a jar filled with blank raffle tickets. You'll have to take a ticket, write down a name, and place it back in the jar. Oh? [He feels the pawing happening and glances down to Missile.] Yes, what is it Missile?

Oh, what's wrong? [He takes a moment to bend down to his knees, to get a little closer.] Is something the matter?

Legion is this person's metal friend, so... WHY ISN'T HE TRYING TO HELP HIM?! Missile pointedly looks from Legion to Levi to back up at K. His bark sounds much less chipper and a little more severe than it normally does. ]

[jingler]

Oh...oh I see.

[A sigh, thinking about he can communicate to Missile.]

I [--points to himself--] am not like him [--points to Legion and then makes an 'X' with his arms.] Missile.

I [--points to himself--] am a human like them [--points to some random person in the background--] you see?

[paws_and_rewind]

[ No no no that's not the important part!! Whining intensifies. ]

[jingler]

Oh, that's not it?

[Hmm this is hard. If only there was a way to translate dog.]

Do you not want to execute Legion? Levi says he's a VIP and no one has contested him as detective.

[ Aaaaaaaa

He still doesn't get it?!

...Well, no, he sort of gets it, but...

Sort of a half bark half whine... ]

Are you saying I'm half-right? [He pauses trying to understand more.] Am I getting something wrong about this? Please bark once for 'yes' and bark twice for 'no'.

[Maybe it'd be easier to pose questions for Missile to answer in the simplest manner, if it can understand people to some degree.]

[ Missile... doesn't really understand complicated concepts like that; barking is barking. It's a continuous process as far as he's concerned. Whiiiine. ]

[jingler]

Hm. I guess it needs to be simpler than that......

[Okay give K a minute here.]

Is Legion bad? Bark for 'yes', whine for 'no'.

...Whiiiine? Missile doesn't quite understand the structure of that question either, but that pattern is how he'd normally handle things. ]
