day two - afternoon
![]() [As the day wears on into the afternoon, the dead aren't getting any deader. It's late in the afternoon, and the air is beginning to cool, when the chimes play again over the park loudspeaker. "All of us here at Dreamland wish you luck, guests! Let's meet up in the Hall of Mirrors!" Wherever you are, it's time to make your way over to the House of Horrors, where you'll have to brave the funhouse to find the room on the top floor. Don't delay, or your guest identification bracelet will begin beeping. The House of Mirrors is a large room, more than capable of fitting a crowd. Tall mirrors line every wall, and the door you entered through seems to vanish into a mirror as well. The mirrors give the impression that many, many more are among your number, standing in the background. In the back is a jar filled with blank raffle tickets. You'll have to take a ticket, write down a name, and place it back in the jar. Hopefully you already know who you're voting for, but if not, you only have time for a brief discussion before you're out of time. character statuses private conversations graveyard Voting will close at 10 PM EST on September 27. |

[Here's Peko. She looks remarkably composed compared to earlier -- if by 'composed,' one means quietly furious. She won't let a vote not be cast at this point.]
And I think the wounds are extremely important to finding who did this to him.

He-- would not run away. Not if there were no hope of escape. Nor would he simply... allow himself to be...
[God Peko, keep it together. She takes a breath, lifts her chin, and sets her lips into a firm line.]
He would have fought back, yet there are no signs of a struggle. He... is reckless. He would have charged forward, were there no hope of escape. Thus... the bullet wounds. The one with the blunt instrument would have panicked. Hence the extra, unneeded force.
We are looking in the wrong direction. Someone experienced with wielding a weapon would not... have needed to be so excessive.

But lack of experience...does that narrow the results down significantly?

I believe... those who are skilled in swordsmanship would understand, and thus, would be exonerated from this crime. Also those with martial training.
It does not take very much force to crack the human skull.

But it would clear him from being his murderer. And today, for me, that is enough.
The one who killed Kuzuryuu Fuyuhiko must be the one who will pay. If we cannot uncover that person... than my vote will be for Legion. If there is no other choice.

So if it's someone inexperienced, then that changes the suspect list a little, to people who don't usually fight. Right?
no subject
[Sup other Pine. Peko likes your style.]
I cannot believe anything other than it is someone who is not an experienced fighter. Any martial artist would know exactly how much force to use. One strike, perhaps two. An inexperienced person... would assume the skull to be far stronger than it is.
So? Who does that leave us with?
no subject
Okay sooooooo....Clash, Patchouli, K, Oz, Royce, Ciel, Missle, Francis, Charles, Maya, Simon, Natalia, Kenny, Kee-you-ya, Kow-roo, Aya, Anna, Sigma, Anise, and Tamaki! Oh um...I don't think your classmates have any experience either?
1/2
[Straight up.]

From that list, anyone who spoke with him is suspect. The fact that he is a yakuza heir would not be enough to deem him a threat this early. He would be a better target for conversion, if one were only looking at his profile.
Thus, someone had to know that he would never allow himself to be converted.
Thus, it was someone with whom he spoke. Do you follow?
no subject
I wasn't really paying attention to who he spoke to.. do either of you have ideas?
no subject
But um. I understand what you mean, that makes a lot of sense! But I don't think I really paid attention either...
[She's clearly thinking hard on this though.]
no subject
[Does it really count, Mabel... Peko's not sure...]
It needs to be someone who knew him well enough to discern him a threat.
[Is that brief enough for you to pay attention to the whole way, Mabel...]

[Thank you is what most people say in response to that, but Peko's honestly not all that familiar with those kinds of niceties. Not that she's in the shape for something like that, anyway.]
We grew up together.

What would you like to know?

That is...
[She turns away, knuckles going wide as she grips into her own skin to try to stay composed.]
His...
[There are so many things about him that people she know. But if there were only one thing, it's not what Peko would remember about him. It's what she thinks he would want.]
He... is a capable leader. There is no one... who deserves to be called the Super High School Level Yakuza... more than he...
no subject
I apologize for asking. I know this is difficult for you.
no subject
[Peko it doesn't sound like an impressive threat when you're close to tears, but hopefully the intense glare through said sheen of tears makes up for it.]
Please do not force me to do that. He deserves every... every ounce of respect someone of his station should be granted.

[Thank you? Thank... okay, no, apparently Peko isn't able to verbally thank her. She just dips her head in a brief bow to show her thanks.]
