dreamland day two

39 players remaining.

[As the day wears on into the afternoon, the dead aren't getting any deader. It's late in the afternoon, and the air is beginning to cool, when the chimes play again over the park loudspeaker.
"All of us here at Dreamland wish you luck, guests! Let's meet up in the Hall of Mirrors!"

Wherever you are, it's time to make your way over to the House of Horrors, where you'll have to brave the funhouse to find the room on the top floor. Don't delay, or your guest identification bracelet will begin beeping. The House of Mirrors is a large room, more than capable of fitting a crowd. Tall mirrors line every wall, and the door you entered through seems to vanish into a mirror as well. The mirrors give the impression that many, many more are among your number, standing in the background.

In the back is a jar filled with blank raffle tickets. You'll have to take a ticket, write down a name, and place it back in the jar. Hopefully you already know who you're voting for, but if not, you only have time for a brief discussion before you're out of time.

If Levi were the detective, the detonator could simply give him their key.

Not if the Detonator is working against us. Which it seems is what's happening since no one's so much as indicated who received those keys yet.
cakelover: (❁ now listen here.)

Which could be an attempt to protect themselves - after all, I don't think they have any control over how their keys are used, ne? They couldn't have known that someone would use them to...do that.

[ WHY DID SOMEONE USE THEM ON POOR SWEET INNOCENT YUYA. He did not deserve to be sent to the land of no jokes. ]
edealistical: (Thoughtful)

Protecting themselves from the VIPs coming after them next? But I don't think the people who receive the key know who gave it to them, right? There shouldn't be any danger in leaving a note somewhere saying who had the keys. It might be untrustworthy, but it would be better than silence.
cakelover: (❀ chomp. oh is that so?)

[personal profile] cakelover 2014-09-27 09:36 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't disagree that a note would have been helpful in this case - although it also could have endangered whoever hadn't used their key?

I'm afraid I can't say I think one person's safety should be valued more than the rest of us. Leaving this murderer uncaught could mean a very hard time for us here on out...
cakelover: (❀ are you sure? offering.)

Unfortunately, it's all speculation, ne?

It may be that they gave the key to their partner, who turned out to be a VIP, and don't want to risk their own lives by revealing it.

[ Which tbf she thinks is cowardly but

just throwing it out there. ]
5_9: // if not, I don't know who wrote it (// if this code works Paul wrote it)

[personal profile] 5_9 2014-09-27 09:28 pm (UTC)(link)
There is a situation in which this would be possible. If Levi receives false information, he may have believed Yuya was also a VIP. We believe this is possible, though unlikely.

[ since levi probably would have said something... ]
photonement: One eye closed and speaking with a small frown (Resignation)

[personal profile] photonement 2014-09-27 09:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Levi receiving false information is totally impossible based on everything we know about the rules, so suggesting that Levi was involved in what happened to Sakaki is pretty much the same thing as saying he's an enemy. Nice try...
5_9: // so I have to divide by something very similar (// I can't divide by zero)

[personal profile] 5_9 2014-09-27 09:34 pm (UTC)(link)
It is not impossible. If he received this information, then it is certain.

[ because legion sure is sticking to its innocence ]
photonement: Frowning and speaking (Refusal)

[personal profile] photonement 2014-09-27 09:37 pm (UTC)(link)
You're going to get a lot further asserting that he didn't receive "this information" at all.
5_9: #define TRUE FALSE (//happy debugging suckers)

[personal profile] 5_9 2014-09-27 09:45 pm (UTC)(link)
This is a possibility. However, we believe it is more likely that he believes he is correct. We could not come up with a theory as to why he would reveal himself otherwise.

If that were the case, Levi-chan probably would have said something, right? I feel like it doesn't make sense for him to be the one who used the key on Yuya-chan.
5_9: // but it stops the people from being upside down (// I don't know why I need this)

We are not certain. We are unable to make a consensus on what his actions may mean.
