dreamland day one

41 players remaining.

[As the day wears on into the afternoon, the dead aren't getting any deader. It's late in the afternoon, and the air is beginning to cool, when the chimes play again over the park loudspeaker.
"All of us here at Dreamland wish you luck, guests! Let's meet up in the Hall of Mirrors!"

Wherever you are, it's time to make your way over to the House of Horrors, where you'll have to brave the funhouse to find the room on the top floor. Don't delay, or your guest identification bracelet will begin beeping. The House of Mirrors is a large room, more than capable of fitting a crowd. Tall mirrors line every wall, and the door you entered through seems to vanish into a mirror as well. The mirrors give the impression that many, many more are among your number, standing in the background.

In the back is a jar filled with blank raffle tickets. You'll have to take a ticket, write down a name, and place it back in the jar. Hopefully you already know who you're voting for, but if not, you only have time for a brief discussion before you're out of time.

Huh?

[Oh right trial. Edea sobers quickly.]

I hate to say it, but in the absence of anything to go off besides this note... and especially if Aya won't even let us look at it... I can't vote for anyone.

[Belgium frowns, but nods.] I don't think we should completely dismiss the note, but voting based on that the first day...

If we don't vote, someone is going to be converted tonight, but killing someone just to avoid that is too cruel.

If someone is truly 'converted' tonight, I should hope they have the willpower to stand against it now that they have seen the consequences of such actions.

But yes, I agree. It would be an injustice of the greatest offense.

Thinking about it, conversion is pretty weird. There are a lot of people here who don't really seem like the "ruthless murderer for some weird game" type, y'know? I was thinking maybe our kidnappers planted seven people here with us that would do something like this, but saying the rest of us can be converted makes it sound like they think any of us would go along with it.

Actually... I had been thinking the same thing. That there were seven who hid the blackness of their hearts behind a coat of white.

Um.

[She can't really explain that, though.]

That is awfully troubling... I can only say that I will never be swayed by anything as base as a bribe or a threat.
