day one - afternoon

dreamland day one 41 players remaining. [As the day wears on into the afternoon, the dead aren't getting any deader. It's late in the afternoon, and the air is beginning to cool, when the chimes play again over the park loudspeaker. "All of us here at Dreamland wish you luck, guests! Let's meet up in the Hall of Mirrors!" Wherever you are, it's time to make your way over to the House of Horrors, where you'll have to brave the funhouse to find the room on the top floor. Don't delay, or your guest identification bracelet will begin beeping. The House of Mirrors is a large room, more than capable of fitting a crowd. Tall mirrors line every wall, and the door you entered through seems to vanish into a mirror as well. The mirrors give the impression that many, many more are among your number, standing in the background. In the back is a jar filled with blank raffle tickets. You'll have to take a ticket, write down a name, and place it back in the jar. Well we'd start with who was murdered and why. I've heard others saying he was kind of a mean guy, and there have been suggestions about him getting killed because he was mean. Which sounds pretty possible to me, but we gotta think about the kind of people who'd kill someone because they were generally unlikable.

Well...maybe they were mean themselves? And so they wanted to take out the competition! There can only be one mean person! Creepy Amusement Park Cage Fight! Two mean people go in, only one comes out!!

...I was thinking something along the lines of someone who's really nice and can't handle mean people, but that works too!

[ineptus]

But if they're really nice, they wouldn't kill anyone in the first place!

[terci]

They would if they were forced to.

[ineptus]

...right. I keep forgetting about that part...well then who are all the really nice people here? And the really mean people?

[terci]

I can start making a list? I haven't really talked to many people here, but you have, so I think we could come up with something between the two of us.

[ineptus]

[Gasp!] I have! You're right!

[Whipping out that marker and her sweater is going around her waist again.]

I know a lot of people! Not everyone, but still!

[Now Dipper. How many do you think are actually as nice as she's probably going to say they are...?]

[Aw yeah just taking that marker and getting ready to write.]

Yeah, so at least we'll have a start! [He may or may not completely believe her, but he'll trust her judgement for now..

And he stares at her for a minute.]

...I don't think there's any room left for this list. [Between all the math and dead body notes...]

[ineptus]

[Mabel glances at her arms, turning them over and back before putting on a thinking face. And eventually she comes up with a great idea. Turning to face Dipper, she plops onto the ground, sitting with her legs straight out in front of her.]

Ta-da!

That works, I guess. [He plops down next to her and writes "Nice:" on one of her knees and "Mean:" on the other.]

So who do you know for sure is nice?

Leg lists!

[Wiggling her feet, she places her hands behind her to lean on.]

Hiko and Tamaki definitely! And Ibuki and Edea and Clash! Legion is really nice and so is K! Belgium annnnd...

[Here hold on, gotta look through her profiles.]

[And he'll just write those names down (on her shin) as she lists them off.]

Oh, Maya is! Maya's really nice. Oz and Royce and Natalia too! Ummmm...Koo...Koo-rah-pickah is. And...Meet...sue-koon...koon...eye?

[He writes Honey's name down on the list and looks up to give him a smile.]

[ He just heard the butchering of his name and came over, tbh... ]

See? Honey is really nice! Definitely deserves to be on that list. Honey, do you know any nice people here? We're making lists of nice and mean people!

Oh, if it's for that - Takashi is my cousin.

[ THE GUY WHOSE SHOULDERS HE SOMETIMES RIDES ON. ]

[Don't mind Dipper here looking through the profiles to find that name.]

Takashi Mori... Mori-no-zooh-kah? [Don't mind more butchering of names (though Dipper's considerably better at names than Mabel). These kids grew up with only bad dub anime so that's where they learned their pronunciation from]

Mori-no-zooh-kah? Kind of like ba-zooka? But he would definitely be nice then! Dipper, add him too!

[And, as an after thought-]

That must be really fun. I wanna ride on someone's shoulders!
