day one - afternoon

dreamland day one 41 players remaining. [As the day wears on into the afternoon, the dead aren't getting any deader. It's late in the afternoon, and the air is beginning to cool, when the chimes play again over the park loudspeaker. "All of us here at Dreamland wish you luck, guests! Let's meet up in the Hall of Mirrors!" Wherever you are, it's time to make your way over to the House of Horrors, where you'll have to brave the funhouse to find the room on the top floor. Don't delay, or your guest identification bracelet will begin beeping. The House of Mirrors is a large room, more than capable of fitting a crowd. Tall mirrors line every wall, and the door you entered through seems to vanish into a mirror as well. The mirrors give the impression that many, many more are among your number, standing in the background. In the back is a jar filled with blank raffle tickets. You'll have to take a ticket, write down a name, and place it back in the jar. This early in the 'game', it seems almost impossible to tell. There's still forty-one of us, so we're all running around like headless chickens without any bases to cover.

[ Oh good someone agrees with him. ]

If we're all this hesitant to vote with a clue, imagine how we'd be if we tried to pick one person out randomly. So what could their motive have been, if it was the VIPs?

Then...could it have been someone from our side? Who thought that we wouldn't vote if we didn't have a name, even if that name were false?

[ Would...anyone here do that. ]

And they didn't predict that we all wouldn't rush to vote? I don't know. It seems strange.

Hmmm.

D'you think someone wanted to pin Legion-chan to have us vote for someone? It said if no one was executed, the VIPs could invite someone to their group afterwards. If someone super wanted to prevent that, they'd have to get someone blamed and offed first. I mean, it seems like a really stupid thing to do if you wanted to save people, but whatever.

Well they have to outnumber us, right? If they get us to kill someone, then that's two innocent people in one day!

[billows]

Are they thinking about that so early on? They could have saved the trick for a better time, when two people would actually make a difference.

[ineptus]

Well...someone suggested that the guy who is running this might be holding their families or friends hostages to force them to kill...maybe they aren't really thinking things like that? Maybe they just want to win as fast as possible...

[billows]

Then they shouldn't want to kill anyone else's friends or family. So they'd prefer to convert. That's what I think, but this is all conjecture.

I suppose that makes sense too...I wouldn't want to kill anyone either...

[But she just can't believe Legion is a VIP...she gave him a sticker and he promised!]

[ Oops the little girl looks sad now... ]

Well—I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation behind all of this. The fact is, we just don't know.

They have to outnumber us, but if we don't execute someone today, they get to convert someone. They'd be one person closer to outnumbering us either way.
