There are no clocks in your dorm room to help you mark the passing of time, but at a certain point, in the early hours of the morning, a cheerful chime tune plays over the loudspeaker. Whether you're awake or asleep, the door to your dorm room is now unlocked. You'll have about a forty five minutes, in which you can get ready or grab some breakfast, before the door that allows you into the park unlocks. By this time, you may or may not have noticed that one of your number is missing.

The chimes play again, to announce that the park is open, and the rides and music begin to come back to life as a voice plays over the loudspeaker.

"Looks like it's time to get started after all! To all our guests, have a magical morning! Dream big and have fun, but don't forget to look for the body! We'll see you in the afternoon at the Hall of Mirrors when it's time to vote, okay?"

You will have until 4 PM to explore the park and talk amongst yourselves. Somewhere in the park, you'll find the body of Malik Ishtar.

[ Legion doesn't sleep, unsurprisingly, so as soon as they're let out of their rooms, it steps out to at least be in the common area instead of confined to the bedroom. It'll pick up the paper and scan it, though at a particular article, it'll go ahead and speak up. ]

A rebuttal is not necessary. The truth cannot be proven without the Detectives. Only we know that we are not a VIP.

I'd like to think you're not, but I'd also like to think the detective is trustworthy. I admit I have a conflict of opinion, too.

We discussed this possibility. This would seem to be a forgery.

However, I do have a question: why do you think they would single you out specifically?

To organics, we may seem like a safer target. We are synthetic. To some organics, we may not even be considered to be alive. In the event that this message was taken seriously, we would be destroyed. The writer of this message may consider our existence negligible as compared to organics. It is not an uncommon trend.

I see. Your logic makes sense.

[Mainly because K is, in all honesty, not someone who see Legion as a living being, given what he was told before. But he doesn't see that as reason alone to suspect Legion.]

I am sorry if that is the case. That seems like an incredibly misguided way of approaching this situation. With any hope no one will take that message to heart.

Do not worry Legion. If you are innocent then there is surely evidence that will prove it. We just need to investigate this from the angle of why someone would pick to target Malik.

But do you have evidence that you aren't a VIP? Not that I think you are! I'm just asking for the record. You need to build up your case! That way if anyone tries to arrest you, you can tell your defense lawyer all the reasons you're not the murderer!
