![]() There are no clocks in your dorm room to help you mark the passing of time, but at a certain point, in the early hours of the morning, a cheerful chime tune plays over the loudspeaker. Whether you're awake or asleep, the door to your dorm room is now unlocked. You'll have about a forty five minutes, in which you can get ready or grab some breakfast, before the door that allows you into the park unlocks. By this time, you may or may not have noticed that one of your number is missing. The chimes play again, to announce that the park is open, and the rides and music begin to come back to life as a voice plays over the loudspeaker. "Looks like it's time to get started after all! To all our guests, have a magical morning! Dream big and have fun, but don't forget to look for the body! We'll see you in the afternoon at the Hall of Mirrors when it's time to vote, okay?" You will have until 4 PM to explore the park and talk amongst yourselves. Somewhere in the park, you'll find the body of Malik Ishtar. character statuses private conversations graveyard Voting will close at 10 PM EST on Sept 24. Though a special comment for discussion will go up shortly before voting, you are encouraged to discuss who to vote for throughout the day. |

Y-yeah. If we want deaths to stop happening, it's not just the VIPs, but us, too.
Anyway, I agree with what the others are saying. Whoever who made the note pinning you is the most suspicious. Even if they're not a VIP and are the actual detective, they're still playing along with this sick game. At the very least, I want to know why.

[ I had to concede, crossing my arms. ...And god, that Elephant bracelet looked ridiculous on him. ]
But you're roped in this too, like that... dog.
[ Seriously. A dog, a... actually I have no idea and I'm not even going to try (maybe I'll ask later), a man in a robot suit, a bunch of kids, and a big chunk of teenagers. In a death game. What the hell... ]

This unit does not possess such a function. We are skilled with firearms to make up for this lack.
[ ahem ]
Your assessment is correct. We did not come here willingly. We promised to work with Shepard-Commander.

[ I'm going to ask, because it's still worth a shot. ]
So do you have a gun?
...
...
Commander, huh. Mind if I ask you what you were doing before coming here, Legion, and what's the last thing you remember?
no subject
[ which is also sad because there are so many gameplay hours into getting a boss sniper for legion ok... rude, murderpark ]
We were pursuing the heretics with Shepard-Commander. The heretics are Geth that follow the Old Machines. The heretics created a virus that will infect all Geth and standardize our consensus. We were en route to the Heretic's Station to infiltrate and destroy the virus.

You found anything in that box, in the room we woke up in? It was supposed to contain personal possessions. That's how those girls over there have their cameras.
[ I vaguely gesture towards Aya and Mahiru. ]
...
...
Oh. Uh... Wow, there's so much of that I didn't understand I'm not sure where to even start.
...
Okay, en route. You were traveling. By what?
no subject
[ Since they're either weapons or video games... Not that Legion is bothered by it, since both seem logical to not give. ]
The Normandy SR-2. This is a Cerberus vessel based on the prototype Alliance starship, Normandy SR-1.

[ I'll be honest, feels better to know I'm not the only one who found nothing. It sucks less to be suckered when you're not the only one. ]
...
...
[ Starship. I understood that word. Spaceship. ]
You were on a starship in space?!
no subject
[ Somehow, this is the first time that timey-wimey jamjar shenanigans has come up. ]
Is intergalactic travel not the norm for you?
no subject
[ I awkwardly glance aside. ]
I mean, I've heard of nuclear annihilation engines being in the works, probably under the supervision of top secret government agencies. But if you stick that on a spaceship, traveling from Earth to, say, Mars, is probably going to take much less time. But uh, no... In the year of 2028 on Earth of the Solar System, the farthest manned mission in space is still the moon.

[ But Legion also won't give them, since it's the Geth policy to not interfere much in how people obtain technology. ]
It is the year 2185 CE.

You're telling me you're from the future.

I give up. This ISN'T the weirdest thing I've heard since getting here, but it's still up there. ]
Don't make it sound like it's completely normal to meet humans from the past...
[ All of this goes against everything I've learned in college!! ]

[ I still had to rub my eyes once though. Should've taken that second cup of coffee after all earlier in the morning... ]
So that makes you... an alien robot?
no subject
[ Which came with a massive war with huge repercussions for both sides, but that's how these things tend to go... ]
no subject
...
Alright, thanks. I think you've told me enough about this.
[ That and I'm probably not going to understand a lick of it, even if he went on... ]
Just... Hm. There must be others like you, right? Got any idea, why they might've grabbed YOU in particular? Humans... aren't extinct or anything in your time, are we?

[ a pause ]
We are a unique mobile platform. Geth are not capable of speech. It is highly inefficient. This unit was created specially to interact with organics.
no subject
[ That's good to hear. So this Commander Shepard Legion's talking about is human...]
Woah, really? So they DO have a good reason to pick you for this, then. Whoever's responsible for this sick game, I mean. You thought about that?
no subject
However, if a Geth were capture, most organics would seek to dissect. We delete our core functions upon capture or critical failure. Intact geth are incredibly rare. Whoever is responsible would have made billions of credits by selling me instead. Therefore, participation leading to destruction is illogical.
no subject
Please don't do it, but just so I understand you here: your race destroy yourselves upon capture? D-did you...
no subject
[ a pause, then Legion adds, ]
This is not death as organics understand it. These units are only mobile platforms. Our programs are able to be uploaded and downloaded to Geth servers. These programs are our true selves.

...
Or well, close enough! Whatever, you're still... you. Anyway, don't try to self-destruct or anything, okay? There's already someone trying to get you executed!
