![]() [You wake up in a temporary barracks set up behind an amusement park. The weather is chilly but pleasant, and there aren't any lines for the rides - in fact, it seems you have this place to yourself. The entire park appears to have been abandoned some years ago, and though everything is in working order, it is overgrown with plants and seems rusted and unsafe. As for you, something has happened, though you aren't sure what. There's a throbbing pain in your head, and you can't focus, as though you're coming off heavy pain medications. However you think you should look, you look like a human now. Under the bandages wrapped around your temple, old and smelling like blood, you'll find a recently stitched up scar wound and the inability to focus on your memories. You have no knowledge of how you came to be here; you may even have forgotten certain aspects of your life, or feel confused about them. The fact of your missing memories is obvious, a dark blank spot. Under the bandages around your wrist, you'll find a brightly colored bracelet, decorated with the face of the smiling cartoon animal on your wall, embedded into your flesh. It beeps a merry tune and welcomes you to DreamLand Fun Park. Just then, a voice comes over the loudspeaker.] "Good morning to all of our new guests! The park is now open! We'll get started later, but for now, have a magical day with your new friends! Oh, and there may be a few nasty side effects to your medical condition. If you meet someone having trouble adjusting to reality, please be polite!" [In your room, you'll find a small box containing several personal items - no weapons, magical items, or technology advanced beyond the early 21st century, and nothing dangerous, but otherwise anything you would ordinarily find on your person is there. Of course, nothing with cell reception or internet connectivity can manage to pick up a signal. If you swipe your bracelet against the steel door, it unlocks. You may now explore your accommodations, or venture out into the park.] character statuses setting This is an IC mingle covering the first day! Night roles will go up Monday at 4 PM EST, but you are welcome to continue to thread here once that happens. Make sure to follow any updates on plurk! |

[ ???? maybe she will set you free if you do??? who knows
oh by the way she is going to spin this teacup ride around crazily with this wheel. have fun trying to deal with that!! ]

[Or, more accurately, he doesn't know how to do anything in the kitchen at all except turn the faucet on and cut vegetables. THEIR WEDDING CAKE WILL BE A DISASTER... (he'll stop playing along eventually okay)
Actually that might come pretty soon, because it's hard to focus when the teacup you're sitting in is spinning all over the place. Oz flies gracelessly to the side because he's a tiny punk, pressing his back against the seat.]
Is— is it supposed to go this fast?! It's not going to break, is it...?
[Which sounds kind of muffled, because his hands are up in front of his face in fear now that Ibuki's taken over the wheel...]
no subject
Ibuki knows, right?! It should go even faster than this! Sadly, this is as fast as it goes! Ibuki has already been on is seven times!
[ #investigating with Ibuki Mioda ]

[This is kind of a mumble that may or may not be drowned out by Ibuki's maniacal laughter... He has Regrets.]
I mean— Is this thing even attached well? Are we supposed to be spinning this much? [HE'S PRETTY SURE THEY'RE GONNA FLY OFF AND DIE.]
no subject
Eheheh! It's fine, it's fine! Whoever brought us here wouldn't let us die that easily, right? So it's safe!
[ IS IT OKAY TO BE THAT CAREFREE... ]
no subject
I'm not sure that we should be counting on something like that... [Even Oz "why are you so calm" Vessalius finds his heAD BEING CUT INTO alarming enough to not trust whoever's stuck them all in this situation.
That said, she seems to be enjoying herself so much that he can't really bring himself to say that any louder than a mumble. What a nerd... Also he is feeling just a little sick, so that contributes. Eventually:]
When does this thing end—? ...It ends, right?!
no subject
Yep! It should be done in about - oh, boo.
[ LOOKS LIKE THEY'RE BEING FREED... ]
Want to ride the coaster next?!
no subject
EITHER WAY, he's gripping the side of the cup as it slows to a stop, looking a little frazzled but pretty a-okay outside of that.]
Phew! That was... [...] An experience. [Basically.
He should just say no right away to her question, though, HIS LEGS ARE STILL WOBBLY as he exits the teacup and steps onto the platform... But no, instead she gets:]
What's the coaster?
no subject
It's another ride!! But instead of being spinny, this one goes fast fast fast!
no subject
Faster than the cups? [THOSE WERE PRETTY FAST.] Where is it...? Maybe I'll take a look first and then decide.
no subject
[ REACHING OVER TO TAKE HIS HAND and begin to tow him towards the coaster...
is there a way to get off the ibuki ride? her classmates have yet to find out ]
no subject
Thank you for giving me a tour—! [is that what this is though]
