The weather is chilly but pleasant, and there aren't any lines for the rides - in fact, it seems you have this place to yourself. The entire park appears to have been abandoned some years ago, and though everything is in working order, it is overgrown with plants and seems rusted and unsafe. As for you, something has happened, though you aren't sure what. There's a throbbing pain in your head, and you can't focus, as though you're coming off heavy pain medications. However you think you should look, you look like a human now. Under the bandages wrapped around your temple, old and smelling like blood, you'll find a recently stitched up scar wound and the inability to focus on your memories. You have no knowledge of how you came to be here; you may even have forgotten certain aspects of your life, or feel confused about them. The fact of your missing memories is obvious, a dark blank spot. Under the bandages around your wrist, you'll find a brightly colored bracelet, decorated with the face of the smiling cartoon animal on your wall, embedded into your flesh. It beeps a merry tune and welcomes you to DreamLand Fun Park. Just then, a voice comes over the loudspeaker.] "Good morning to all of our new guests! The park is now open! We'll get started later, but for now, have a magical day with your new friends! Oh, and there may be a few nasty side effects to your medical condition. If you meet someone having trouble adjusting to reality, please be polite!" [In your room, you'll find a small box containing several personal items - no weapons, magical items, or technology advanced beyond the early 21st century, and nothing dangerous, but otherwise anything you would ordinarily find on your person is there. Of course, nothing with cell reception or internet connectivity can manage to pick up a signal. If you swipe your bracelet against the steel door, it unlocks. [AND SO HE WILL. The least he can do is boil water without setting something on fire!!]

Cinnamon sounds good! I'll put some of that on mine, too.

Alright! [Soon enough... She's found cinnamon first!] Oh, good, here we go! [It's in a box, like Old Bay, instead of a shaker.]

Do you see bowls and spoons over there too?

Hm... [He pauses from where he's arranging the pot of water he's poured on the burner and trying... to figure out how to turn it on...]

—Yes! There are some right under here. Let me go get them... [RUMMAGING rummaging... pulling out some bowls and spoons!!]

[Now she has the oatmeal and she brings it back to pour into the pot of water. Then she turns on the burner since Oz apparently hasn't yet.]

I miss having an electric stove. These gas ones where you have to click the dial are so annoying.

[Frowning at her watch that doesn't tell the time, or if it does she hasn't figured out how to make it do that.] What kind of timing should we use?

What's an electric stove? [What's electricity in general, he sure doesn't know...]

Hm? I have a watch that we can use!

[He reaches into his pocket at that, fishing out a silver pocketwatch that fits in his palm. It tells the time well, but when he opens it, it also plays a little tune.]

Got these coils that heat up, instead of an open flame.

Heated coils? That sounds really convenient... [And by that he means a lot harder to light things on fire... He'll hold the watch out a little for her to get a better listen to, though.]

How long should we time it for?

[Mahiru squints at the model of the stove because I have not made oatmeal in so long]

With something like this, ninety seconds should probably be enough. [That may be short but IT'S INDUSTRIAL GRADE and with the injuries they have, cold food is less of a risk than a burn. As it so happens, that length of time is not much longer than Lacie's song itself!]

BUT EXCELLENT. Oz will snap the pocket watch shut once the 90 seconds have passed, cutting off the song as it begins to replay itself.]

What do we do now? Do we have to stir it? [since it's probably doing that weird surface foamy thing...]

From here we can basically scoop it in... And now for the fun part, the cinnamon!

[She will get kind of into this whole thing... and if Oz makes a cute enough face as he does it, she'll snap a photo of him! Surprise technology!]

[HE IS GONNA MAKE ARTFUL BOWLS OF CINNAMON OATMEAL!! Though he almost spills a little when she snaps a photo surprise technology indeed. At least her camera is more recognizable to him than a digital one, so he blinks at it owlishly before looking excited.]

Is that a camera—?

Sure is! I'd give you a look at the model, but not when we're both eating...

[So she takes it off her neck, puts it on the side of the table, and sits down on the bench with her food. Puts her hand together itadakimasu style before picking up her spoon.]

[Oz is more excited about the camera than the oatmeal now, honestly, but he will sit down to properly enjoy his meal regardless.]

This turned out really well.
