dreamland day four 31 players remaining. [As the day wears on into the afternoon, the dead aren't getting any deader. It's late in the afternoon, and the air is beginning to cool, when the chimes play again over the park loudspeaker. "All of us here at Dreamland wish you luck, guests! Let's meet up in the Hall of Mirrors!" Wherever you are, it's time to make your way over to the House of Horrors, where you'll have to brave the funhouse to find the room on the top floor. Don't delay, or your guest identification bracelet will begin beeping. The House of Mirrors is a large room, more than capable of fitting a crowd. Tall mirrors line every wall, and the door you entered through seems to vanish into a mirror as well. The mirrors give the impression that many, many more are among your number, standing in the background. In the back is a jar filled with blank raffle tickets. You'll have to take a ticket, write down a name, and place it back in the jar. Has anyone noticed a pattern in the victims? Why was Ootori killed at this stage?

[Sup friends, Peko... still kind of looks as though she's been hit with a train when it comes to sleep. But she seems to be losing patience.]

Koizumi left Ootori a note of some kind, before her death, implying they may have had a relationship of some kind. The nature does not interest me, as both were normal guests. What is more important is that the next day, directly after Koizumi's death, Ootori was murdered. The VIPs must have assumed them to have discovered something.

I need more information on Ootori's nature. What could he have to discuss with the Super High School Level Photographer? And why has my class been targeted so frequently before this point?

If it's about Kyo-chan's nature, I don't mind answering - though if I had to guess, he was probably speaking with many people privately and trying to gather information...Mahiru-chan was probably one of those people.

You are in his class, yes? Did he ever speak of Koizumi in any fashion to you or your classmates?

No, I'm his senior. Takashi and I are third-years, Tama-chan and Kyo-chan...second years. Kao-chan's a first year.

He never talked to me about Mahiru-chan, but I can't speak for everyone else - ah, except Takashi, Takashi would have mentioned it to me. But it's not unusual for Kyo-chan to make plans without telling us about them, although he'd let us know when he needed us or had solved everything, I think.

You're older than Tamaki and Kyouya?? I thought you were way younger than them!

I think it's important that we actually see the note's contents. Both parties are deceased, so there is no room for objection. If we see the note, we can perhaps get an idea.

Alternatively I wonder if Kyouya's classmates have anything to say about the situation between Mahiru and Kyouya, if they know anything.

Schoolmates. He and Tama-chan were classmates, and Takashi and I are classmates, but no one else is. But, as I told Peko-chan, I never heard from Kyo-chan why he was speaking to Mahiru-chan, or that he was. Knowing Kyo-chan, he was probably trying to gather information.

I see. It seems his secretiveness might have cost us some information.

That's...always been Kyo-chan's nature. As to the note, I don't have it - is there a way to check what was in it? We can't go and get it right now, can we?

Maybe Mahiru and Kyouya were dating...? And it was a secret last love letter!

Okay, maybe not. But I would guess that maybe Kyouya wanted Mahiru's photographic help for something. Evidence, maybe?

And... I think it's because your class is very talented, Peko. I'd bet the VIPs find that threatening.

[Peko just gives Maya a bit of an impatient, if pained, look at the suggestion and ignores it...]

It's possible... Koizumi admitted to us that she had been in contact with the "buddy cops." I had assumed Ootori to be one of them, by the fact that she left him a note. But with his death, it is obvious he was not.

So what could they have been working on together? That is the important question.

Ibuki thinks that guy felt more like a company president than a buddy cop! It's a good thing he wasn't one! Making Missile-chan our only detector would be bad bad bad!!!

Maybe Kyouya-chan was in contact with those guys too????

Even if he wasn't one of the buddy cops, they were probably still working on finding out the VIPs. Maybe Mahiru was spying on people for Kyouya, looking for people acting shady-- going off in private and stuff!

Ibuki is pretty sure she saw Mahiru-chan and Kyouya-chan working on her crossword together!! But that's the only time she ever saw them together?

Strategy. Who he would suspect first, in the event that there was no third discovery from Missile.

I don't remember his exact words now, but... people with a tendency to derail discussions during trials. Anyone who Dipper or Mahiru's actions might have endangered before they died. Anyone who was integral to our misinterpretation of Missile's claim against Levi in the second trial.

Interesting. And do you recall and names he said specifically? Even if only to rule them out, or as a passing suspicion.

Kyouya always had a scheme up his sleeve. He was undoubtedly talking to all sorts of people. He'd have been cautious, too... I can't believe all it took was one badly-timed letter...

No. I never even asked what he was up to, or who he was talking to. Some friend I am.

You can take time to mourn your friend later. For now, you need to think about anything he could have mentioned that would have made him a likely victim.

I don't know. After people started dying I . . . I couldn't take it. I still can't take it. I wasn't able to pay any attention until last night, so I only know what he already said in public then.
