day three - afternoon
![]() [As the day wears on into the afternoon, the dead aren't getting any deader. It's late in the afternoon, and the air is beginning to cool, when the chimes play again over the park loudspeaker. "All of us here at Dreamland wish you luck, guests! Let's meet up in the Hall of Mirrors!" Wherever you are, it's time to make your way over to the House of Horrors, where you'll have to brave the funhouse to find the room on the top floor. Don't delay, or your guest identification bracelet will begin beeping. The House of Mirrors is a large room, more than capable of fitting a crowd. Tall mirrors line every wall, and the door you entered through seems to vanish into a mirror as well. The mirrors give the impression that many, many more are among your number, standing in the background. In the back is a jar filled with blank raffle tickets. You'll have to take a ticket, write down a name, and place it back in the jar. Hopefully you already know who you're voting for, but if not, you only have time for a brief discussion before you're out of time. character statuses private conversations graveyard Voting will close at 10 PM EST on September 30. |

[She shrugs slightly.]
And I am indeed desperate. What do you expect in a fight for my life? None of us have any evidence to actually use in these 'trials'... only circumstancial inference and groundless accusation.

So then what would you have us do? Execute someone else? If this ends up being a ploy, you only get to live another night, at most.
[ He scoffs and shakes his head, because that does kind of seem like she would be more innocent, but he's also reluctant to think that it isn't a motivation. Humans are selfish to the point of being illogical, right? So they have no reason to know who's right, as she says, excepting who comes up as innocent or guilty today. ]
Someone has to be hanged tonight, and while your theory isn't bad, it depends on the chance that Missile was converted. We would find that out by executing you, wouldn't we? If you're guilty, we can trust Missile, and if you're innocent, then you're right.

I still have my pride as a knight - today I argue for what I believe can be the only possibility. If I am wrong, then I will face the punishment for my crimes without protest. If I am correct... then I believe I will have been exonerated barring another conversion.
Regardless, I will not lay down and die today.

Your pride as a knight... I suppose I can understand that. I have my pride as a nobleman. But then let me ask you something else— If you are guilty, what would your pride say to that?

[Quite simply.]
The oath I first swore here was to protect and defend all those trapped within this 'game'. To fail to do so and to contribute to their harm... would be intolerable.

Preposterous. That's all you have to say? If you're guilty, you've killed people here no differently than a madman. Your hanging would be too kind.
