dreamland day three 34 players remaining. [As the day wears on into the afternoon, the dead aren't getting any deader. It's late in the afternoon, and the air is beginning to cool, when the chimes play again over the park loudspeaker. "All of us here at Dreamland wish you luck, guests! Let's meet up in the Hall of Mirrors!" Wherever you are, it's time to make your way over to the House of Horrors, where you'll have to brave the funhouse to find the room on the top floor. Don't delay, or your guest identification bracelet will begin beeping. The House of Mirrors is a large room, more than capable of fitting a crowd. Tall mirrors line every wall, and the door you entered through seems to vanish into a mirror as well. The mirrors give the impression that many, many more are among your number, standing in the background. In the back is a jar filled with blank raffle tickets. You'll have to take a ticket, write down a name, and place it back in the jar. It's not even that he's a dog. If he were a person, it would be the same thing! You stood up for him and now you're going to throw him under the bus? You're really not going to stick to your word? Or even your loyalty?

[ She sounds confused, maybe even a little worried. It seems Clash can't sit still when it has to do with staying loyal. ]

....is it really that shocking? [ this has patchy frowning deeper than usual ] She's fighting for her life here. Would you stand up for a person you'd known for four days if it meant you would be killed?

Depending on the person? Yeah, I would.

Just because someone's being accused of being a killer doesn't mean they should go back on their word, especially if they're trying to prove their innocence.

[sunshade]

Then your heart bleeds more than ours evidently do.

On word of what? Sticking up for an animal when someone's threatening to chop their paw off? Versus attempting to vouch for one's life when said animal claims to have evidence of their guilt.

Seeing it in action doesn't mean I have a bleeding heart, it means that I'm willing to stick by the side of someone I trust no matter what.

You might not understand where I'm coming from, but I do and that's all that matters to me.

[sunshade]

Trust is one thing--I can understand trust. But we've been here for four days. How much trust is that if you are going die? I feel as if I'm talking in circles, here.

[ shaking her head ]

Like I said, I've seen it in action. I know what it's like. I know the people I trust aren't going to accuse me and will stand up for me as much as I'll stand up for them.

[mediumburgers]

Fighting for her life doesn't mean she should betray a friend like that... if we all turn on each other so fast, what's the point? We'll all be dead if we don't stick by each other!

Unless we're way off base with translating him, Missile's claiming that he investigated Edea and found her guilty. There's no way they can both be innocent, not unless you think there aren't any VIPs in the first place or that Missile isn't getting accurate results. And if that's the case, then we shouldn't be voting at all!

I just don't like seeing us turn on each other. It's so stupid! It's all so stupid... Maybe we shouldn't be voting at all, maybe we should be focusing on finding a way out of this stupid place instead of going along with this stupid game.

[She understands that there are potential logical gaps in her argument here, but this is kind of stupid.]

I have to concur, Edea being guilty or not. It's a flaw in judgement likely to get you killed in the long run. It can hardly be called betrayal if the individual in question is taking actions to have you executed.

Putting it that way, Missile betrayed her first... which is... true... But it isn't much better!

[ Or at least doesn't make Maya feel better. ]

I wouldn't necessarily call that 'betrayal' either. If he is, beyond all doubts, the detective, unveiling the VIPs is his role. What I am trying to get at is that it's hardly fair to condemn someone for arguing for their life, calling them out on "betraying" their accuser.

I didn't mean it like that... [ But it is sort of how it came out. ]

I just wish everyone was able to trust each other, I guess, and didn't like her accusing Missile. Even if I can't really blame her for it, since he... accused her of being a VIP. It just. Sucks.
