day one - aftermath
![]() As the voting period comes to an end, a bell goes off from the ticket machine, and the metal bars blocking the tunnel at the end of the Hall of Mirrors lifts. A voice speaks over the loudspeaker: "Attention, guests! Please make your way onto the ride! For your safety, keep your hands and arms inside and do not attempt to leave your seat!" Through the tunnel, single cars on a track stop and wait for each remaining player to step on. Don't dawdle, or your bracelet will begin to beep a warning. Once in a car, the safety bar locks you tightly inside, unable to move. The car trundles along a dark, twisting track, nearly veering into cartoonish obstacles, but veering away at the last moment. Music and cackling laughter echoes loudly through the ride as you drive faster and faster. Suddenly, your car seems about to veer off to the left, through a set of tall doors, before abruptly spinning off to the right. With a powerful jerk, each car comes to the end of the ride. The safety bar lifts, and you can leave. It seems no one was executed tonight, but a list of votes has been pinned to the wall for your perusal. You now have the rest of the evening to explore the park, before night comes again. character statuses private conversations This is a general post-vote mingle encompassing the time from the end of the trial (about 5 PM until the fireworks at 11 PM). You are encouraged and welcome to backtag discussions in this post until the next day post, or to have afternoon private conversations. |

[She was just thrown by them being called her friends. What a loser.]
That is not incorrect, though the rules were... somewhat different. The "incentive" was clearly presented to our entire class, for anyone to kill for if they so chose. A successful culprit was permitted to leave the island, while the rest of us were executed in his or her place. If we deduced the true culprit, they alone would be executed. We were forced to investigate, gather evidence, and hold a trial.
...There are not enough bear motifs for this wretched place to be the same work as the one who captured us originally, however.

[She sounds genuinely sorry.]
...I know my words don't count for much, but... please believe me when I say that I will do everything in my power to save the people here from this nightmare.

I am certain Mioda gave an accurate description. [Maybe if it were parsed from in between the other things Ibuki tends to say. Or maybe Ibuki actually had some focus when talking about the island. Peko would be so proud.]
It is... fine. While I appreciate the sentiment, until we have a concerted plan of escape, that is all it is. Sentiment.
[Peko that's actually kind of rude.]

Sentiment it may be, but I intend to carry my words through.
[But she knows Peko has no reason to trust or believe her.]
...Why were you so surprised by my description of your class, by the way? Aren't you all friendly with each other?

[She twines a bit of hair around her finger and hums quietly.]
It is just strange to think of having friends.

[She thinks she can slightly understand the type of person Peko is. A talented swordswoman...]
Well... I can't speak for them, but I'm sure they'd be happy if you thought of them that way. When you're in such rough situations... it's nice to be able to think you have people to rely on.

[She looks surprised again before she nods.]
Yes, I see your point. Is there anyone like that for you, here?
no subject
I am glad for that as well - my life is not so important as those I am honored to call my friends.
But I am sure there will be, in time, nonetheless.

[A pause, then she adds,] But I do hope that is the case. If we can all find a way to trust each other and work together... that is the ideal situation.
