day two - afternoon

It's late in the afternoon, and the air is beginning to cool, when the chimes play again over the park loudspeaker. "All of us here at Dreamland wish you luck, guests! Let's meet up in the Hall of Mirrors!" Wherever you are, it's time to make your way over to the House of Horrors, where you'll have to brave the funhouse to find the room on the top floor. Don't delay, or your guest identification bracelet will begin beeping. The House of Mirrors is a large room, more than capable of fitting a crowd. Tall mirrors line every wall, and the door you entered through seems to vanish into a mirror as well. The mirrors give the impression that many, many more are among your number, standing in the background. In the back is a jar filled with blank raffle tickets. You'll have to take a ticket, write down a name, and place it back in the jar. I use nonlethal wooden swords and martial arts, along with Nen, but my Nen hasn't been working since I came here. [He says firmly, without hesitation.]

I wouldn't have had any trouble hitting somebody who was dodging, because I know how to predict my opponents movements. It wasn't me.

Not really. [He shrugs and drops the pose.] I assumed somebody would volunteer and I could prove it by simply catching them when they attempted to dodge.

I have no plans on hurting anybody.

No. We weren't that close, I just would have liked to know him better.

If you were reinforcing the one who struck him in the head, then it is only logical. Two people to take down the heir to the largest crime syndicate in Japan.

VIPs are permitted to move at night. You would have had ample time to practice.

I wouldn't have needed any help. It would have been stupid to give me a gun when I'm a specialist in melee and hand-to-hand.

Besides, I didn't do it. The only people I plan to kill are the Phantom Troupe and the VIPs.

Perhaps the VIP does not have any control over what weapon they are given.

Perhaps they are only permitted to use the weapon they are given to kill.

Are you going to have me killed on speculation? There are other people who fit the crime better, Peko.

All we have as of now is speculation.

Like I said, there are people who fit the crime better than me. This was an attack done by somebody with little to no fighting experience, not the other way around.
