[As soon as Aya walks into Mahiru's room, she'll smell something overall cloying - though it's faint enough by now that leaving the door open might defuse the air to the extent future visitors won't notice anything. There are five small flowers (orange, yellow, red, pink, and green) wrapped around the bar connecting the bleak regulation metal posts at the head of the bed. With no water for over five days, they've died. The real sources of the perfume, counteracting the botanical decay, are two little hemispherical fresheners balanced on top of the bedposts, garish electric blue in hue. A dress, off-white with purple polka dots, hangs neatly over the posts at the foot of the bed.
What sticks out the most on the corner of the dresser is a single tube of pretty pink lipstick. It's next to carnival tickets, in two stacks of ten plus another pile of three. The souvenir pen and matching stationary paper pad takes up most the center of the dresser's surface - though the pad is over half empty. In the remaining space off to the sie lie a few handwritten maps.
The lockbox contains separate drafts of her letters to Peko and Gundam and Ibuki, and several other stationary sheets that only have names on one side and at most half a dozen words on the other - Nui, Oz, Ciel, Kenny, Sigma, Mabel, Natalia, Edea... Underneath those is one labelled "Hiyoko-chan", but there's a small damp spot in the middle and nothing else.
At the very bottom of the box are the first two issues of Bunbunmaru Newspaper, Dreamland Murder Game Special Edition.]
