rules

[Once everyone is gathered in the Hall of Mirrors, a voice speaks up over the intercom. The voice is cheerful but mechanical, as though spoken through a voice distortion software. It seems to be reading from a script. You can follow along from the rulebooks you've been given.]

"It's time to play an exciting and fun-filled game, everyone! You see, all of here were brought here to be our guests, in a way…but the truth is, seven of you are actually special VIP guests with special perks!

VIP guest perks include being permitted in the park at night, getting access to exclusive areas, exciting snack and drink service, and permission to murder one regular guest every night. Fun! But we don't want the rest of you to feel left out. And that's why, every day once the killing starts, you'll be permitted to pick one person to kill yourselves, as a group!

You can kill whoever you want as guests, but as a bonus challenge, why not try to find and kill the VIPs? If all of them are found and killed, the killing will stop and all of you will be permitted to leave. Anyway, the rules get a little complicated from here on out, so please read them carefully and ask for help from a friend if you don't understand!"
Basic Rules

1. Each night, the seven VIPs will meet and decide on someone to kill.
2. Each day once the killing begins, the guests as a whole will meet in the afternoon and vote on a guest to execute.
3. If no one is executed, the VIPs will be allowed to invite somebody new to join them!
4. If a VIP is executed, the guests can vote on a guest that they don't want to die! That guest will have a chance of protection!
5. Keep enjoying the park and playing games, too. There may be additional special prizes to be won that can help you.
6. The game ends when the VIP outnumber the regular guests, when all the VIP are dead, or upon triggering the Super Bonus Special Sudden Death Round.

"There are several guests who will be given abilities to help you if you want to play the VIP-finding challenge! There profiles are listed below, and every day we will post a bulletin with the profiles of the ones who are still alive!"
Jobs for Guests!

Detective: Every night, will learn the alignment (guest or special guest) of one player. Will also be alerted whenever there's a successful conversion.

Buddy Cops: Meet at night. Every night, chooses one player to learn the alignment of. Will learn the alignment of that player. If one buddy cop is killed, the other may be able to survive one more day before dying, and cannot be saved. If one buddy cop is converted, they will still attend cop meetings, but their vote will technically not count.

Medical Team: Meet at night. Every night, choose one player to protect from being killed. If a protected player's buddy dies that night, they will survive. If one of the medical team dies, the other may be able to survive one more night before dying. Cannot protect themselves.

Conversion Busters: Meet at night. Every night, chooses a player to protect from being converted. Their protection will extend to that player's buddy as well. If one of them dies, the other may be able to survive one more night before dying, and cannot be saved.

Detonator: Meets at night. Chooses one player to receive a key that can, at any time, detonate another player's guest identification bracelet and kill them.

MVP: This isn't a role, but a tool that becomes available whenever there is a successful execution. All remaining guest players may anonymously vote on a person to protect. Whoever gets the most votes will have that percentage of a chance of survival if attacked at night.

"Oh, I almost forgot! We wanted to know if this game was more fun for individual players or in teams. There are 42 of you here. 14 of you will be playing on your own, but there are also 14 teams of two who get to be buddies. You and your buddy are linked by your guest identification bracelets, so check now to see if you can find one! If your buddy dies, your bracelet will immediately detonate, so you have a strong incentive to work together, and it might not be a good idea to tell people you have a buddy!"
Buddy Rules

7. There are fourteen individual players and fourteen teams of two.
8. If your buddy dies, you'll also die, unless someone was protecting you.
9. If a buddy is brought over to the VIPs, their other buddy won't be automatically converted. It's also not a guarantee buddies are on the same team.
10. Buddies vote as a team, with only one vote between the two of them. If two buddies cast different votes, only the first one will count.

And the Most Important Rule of All…

11. Have fun!!!
