I admit it could be as you say - however, a dog is not a patient creature. I should think that the moment it was realized that the two individuals had failed to speak, he would choose to protest. But there was a palpable delay... It cannot be denied that Levi did not have an ample chance to speak on his behalf, not as I did today.
